Let's make a second dungeon

I think Trainz plans to post the next one CD-3 as soon as the first becomes available. I know I'm not taking any rooms in it since I have done the past two and I am editing them, so my influence is seen enough already. I think he said it was 14 rooms. In any case just keep an eye out for it. I know the first 10 pages or so of CD-1 are mostly done and the rest should hopefully follow soon after. Of course the first one was 31 rooms and the rest should be 10-15 I think. The ifrst one also had no format and the rest will. This makes it go quicker and helps the editor. I have the format ready for the next post. Its not much diffferent than the one used for this dungeon.

And just so everyone else knows. I sent the final proof of CD-2 to Trainz. Its on his back so he'll get off mine.
I'm starting to work on it.

I have lurked the ENworld galleries to try to find some pictures for CD2, at least one for the cover. So far, I'm SOL.

Shallown, could you go take a look ? If you do, you simply browse the galleries, and flag the ones that you think would be good for CD2 (by copying the url of the pic). You can then submit the list of pics url's to me, and I will try to contact the authors and ask their permission to use them.

We need at least a full one for the cover (not a sketch, a complete one with background).

If anyone else wants to help in this endeavor, you are more than welcome. Simply paste the url of the pic(s) you think would be good in this thread, and I will do the contacting thingy.

Has the format changed ? I did minor changes to it as well (CD3 is already typed and ready to go. If I want, it could be posted within 60 seconds).

I have added your parameters to the upcoming CD3. Thanks !

I have also finished doing my part of the editing of CD2.

Now I will go lurk the galleries to find some interesting pics for CD2...

I have found two and posted a request to the ogirinal artists in the Art forum to use them. The thing is, the chances of them responding is slim to none (I tried before).

How do you contact the artists from the Art galleries ? I couldn't find a way. This is VERY unpractical. Let's say I like what I see and want to hire an artist for a gaming product, promising him fame and riches, but spend an hour in here busting my back to no avail, I will definitely move on to somewhere else.

Very unpractical.

If their profile has no e-mail contact your not really able to do much except ask in the general forum.

I didn't find much myself. Lots of excellent work but nothing that fit the dungeon. We'll have to develop a stable of artist who are willing to help out. maybe after a few are produced people will see our need a little more clearly becuase that is all these are lacking is some decent art. I would think someone would be proud and eager to see their work published even if it is for free. Exposure is exposure. I'm not looking to become some kind of freelancer but if I was this is one route to get there.

Oh well We do the best we can.

Allen Palmer has some nice goblin series. My next dungeon might be based on that. You know, If I start with pictures that ARE available, it will be easier to illustrate the adventure.

I know what you mean.
It may be easier to start from that point of inspiration.

I still think it stinks we can't get some support from the community on that angle. Oh Well Everyone else has been great and I can be thankful for that.
