Energy Substitution and Immunity to fire, aren't really good enough on their own to warrant a +1 each, but together they should be worth a +1. This is my opinion, what do you think?

why not? SS does give them the chance when they become alive and ONLY when they become alive/awakened via that spell do they then get an LA.

SS are a bunch of hacks, but then again so are we. I am up for the challenge if you give me a balanced way to make unitelligent constructs sentient.

There's a spell that grants them a form of INT in SS "Awaken Construct". I say give the monsters a base 10 (no + nor minus') for it. I mean it can shoot from one extreme to the other (6-16 score) so just level it off at 10 and be done with it.

So how bout this:

1. Boz makes construct
2. We add INT 10
3. Base all stuff off INT of 10 for stats, scores, feats, etc.

eh but it's a 3, it's animalistic though so low and all. that and the score for balancing the attributes out will be off

I really don't like the way that it's shaping up to be honest. I mean this puppy has basic animal INT so that negates the purpose of LA. Hell i am all for giving this puppy an INT of -- and run with it. I don't like giving this thing some INT and it be no smarter than a dog.
