LG vs. CE: Lawful Good is Victorious!

I still do not have this straight. If Gröpenführer survives and has a chance to grapple St. Stephen, can it take iterative grapples and inflict claw damage five times, or does it use the damage opponent option (1d8 plus Str bonus)? I think it is the latter but I cannot find it. It is not in RoTG.
Gröpenführer attacked with a claw, then made an improved grab. He doesn't get iterative attacks because he attacked with a natural weapon. Next round, he could make iterative grapple checks or one claw (at -4) or something else.

He gets to do claw damage because he has improved grab, otherwise he would do 1d8 plus Str. Is there a rule setting the maximum number of iterative attacks at four times for non-epic creatures?

Not directly, but the following is the entirety on the rules of how many attacks you get:

Base Attack Bonus
A base attack bonus is an attack roll bonus derived from character class and level or creature type and Hit Dice (or combinations thereof). Base attack bonuses increase at different rates for different character classes and creature types. A second attack is gained when a base attack bonus reaches +6, a third with a base attack bonus of +11 or higher, and a fourth with a base attack bonus of +16 or higher. Base attack bonuses gained from different sources, such as when a character is a multiclass character, stack.
Note that the maximum mentioned is four. Nothing grants a 5th attack, no matter what the BAB is. The Epic rules do clarify it, however. I'm not sure if anything in the RotG or FAQ says it as well.

Round 212: St. Stephen is sharing the same space and would be targeted, so he will try the wave. He fails to concentrate (26+1-2 Concentration).

St. Stephen mumbles, "Uh oh." He healed up to 122, though.

Round 212 Continued
Maximus Rex flies around to 90n30e40z heading northeast and bites the big galoot with PA +15.

Optimus Prime flies around in a little circle, ending up at 70n50e40z heading west. He gives St. Stephen a cure critical wounds healing touch.

Omega Supreme performs a wingover and flies around, taking up the flanking position at 90n70e40z heading north. Omega Supreme tail slaps at +20 PA.

Your turn, Gröpenführer, make it count. :)

I am not sure, but I believe that Gröpenführer's attack is one that St. Stephen does not regenerate from.

Gröpenführer takes a five-foot step to the SE, then tries grappling St. Stephen four times, using its biggest claw.

Ah, cool. That makes sense.

There no room to 5ft-step, except directly north. The dragons have you entirely surrounded. :)

Round 212: St. Stephen does not regenerate.

Max bites (rolled 54-15+4) for 27+16-10. G has 285 hp and is not shaken by the attack (44 Will save).

OP heals St. Stephen 24 hp. He now has 136 hp.

OS slaps (rolled 55-20+5) for 32+24-10. G has 239 hp.

G heals to 248 hp and squeezes three out of four times for a total of 98.

St. Stephen has 38 hp left.
