LG vs. CE: Lawful Good is Victorious!

Oh c'mon Psybo - just ballpark it.

Had this happen once when a PC killed a beholder...while standing directly beneath it. He was rescued just before he drowned/was totally crushed to paste.

Round 210 Thankfully continued
Lady Mariangela dozes off.

Round 211
St. Stephen rips into the big ball of flesh with his greatsword. Thinking such a big monster will be easy to hit but still not sure about that, St. Stephen puts only 3 points into power attack.

Maximus Rex gives himself a restoration and then flies over to 15n5e40z heading west.

Optimus Prime wingovers, and flies around to 45n45e40z, staying at least 30ft away (hoping it doesn't have similar or better reach) and tail slaps it with +15 power attack.

Omega Supreme flies in an S-pattern in order to achieve minimum flying distance, but ends up at 90n100e40z, heading north. On the way, he blasts Gröpenführer with a line of force.

Your turn, Gröpenführer.

Round 211: St. Stephen misses three times (highest roll 31+2-5).

Max gets back his levels and now has 460 hp.

OP slaps (rolled 48-15+3) for 33+18-10. G has 364 hp and is not shaken by the attack (42 Will save).

G actually dodges the breath (35 Ref save) and takes 55 and has 309 hp left. It is not shaken by the breath (36 Will save).

OS:[sblock]You can breathe again in round 213.[/sblock]

G heals to 318 hp and flails at St. Stephen. It claws for 38 (rolled 40, beats DR). G is not affected by Stephen's shield (36 CL check, 37 Will save).

Then it claws for 59 (natural 19, 37 crit roll). It is not affected (40 Will).

Then it claws for 36 (45, 40 Will).

Then it claws for 37 (44, 35 Will). St. Stephen is dead.

LM & the dragon's turn.

OOC: Are you sure it gets that many attacks? Having run the previous odopi, I remember differently. Also, is Stephen shaken? That would explain the extra -2, but I can't seem to remember writing down the shaken condition. :)

OOC: Wow, you're right! I don't know how I hypnotized myself into thinking that it got six attacks! It can't even throw that many stones.

St. Stephen is shaken after a natural 1 Will save (I think from the zyern).

He takes the damage from the first attack, but he is grabbed and pulled into G's body (55 vs 40-3 Grp check). He has 112 hp left.

I was mightily confused a while ago, too. I remember thinking, "with so many arms why only 1 claw attack?" The other odopi was a joke. At least this one grabbed something. Searching on Google, apparently I made the comment: "I'm also not particularly looking forward to the elder odopi, which is that much more annoying and useless."

I still do not have this straight. If Gröpenführer survives and has a chance to grapple St. Stephen, can it take iterative grapples and inflict claw damage five times, or does it use the damage opponent option (1d8 plus Str bonus)? I think it is the latter but I cannot find it. It is not in RoTG.

Round 211 Continued
Lady Mariangela starts snoring.

Round 212
St. Stephen looks a tad concerned, but that's better than dead. He calls out, "Hey, guys, kill this thing and quickly, but try not to let it teleport again." A moment passes. "Guys?" St. Stephen's action may depend on a ruling (if he knows). He prefers to create a circular blade barrier on top of the victory zone, affecting Gröpenführer but not himself, but the rules are unclear on St. Stephen's actual location. If Stephen is considered to have the same Space or otherwise knows he cannot target only the massive ball, he instead uses a wave of exhaustion. If he can target only Gröpenführer or doesn't know the answer (i.e. no metagaming), then he does so. Let's say 100n60e40z if Stephen is in the middle of his Space. We need a ruling then a concentration check (DC 26 for BB or DC 27 for the wave) then a possible Reflex save.

[sblock] regardless of what I say LM is doing, really she's just readying [/sblock]
