Abe does not hear anything until Claude comes near and pummels Abe (rolled 14+1=15 for HG) for 10-5=5 points of damage. Abe has 40 HP remaining, and is first in round 397. Claude is above Abe and to the east at 60N40E20Z.

The Buzzsaw wonders who its Special Enemy is. If it doesn't include this creature (or Abe doesn't know what it is), then Abe will perform the mighty ritual known as Stormwing. "I don't need to see ya to hurt ya." Abe then hovers up 5ft in an effort to cut down on the higher ground bonus.

Round 397: Constructs are the Special Enemy. BZZZZZ Abe deals 10 points of sonic damage to Claude (rolled Ref save 22). Claude has 24 HP remaining. Abe can BZZZZZ again in round 400, and is at 60N30E15Z
Claude pummels twice for 11-5+11-5=12 points of damage and steps 5 feet away, but Abe could not hear exactly where. Abe has 28 HP remaining.

Abe will take a full round to buzz and try and lull this creature to sleep, listening not-so-carefully for the telltale thud on the ground 20ft or so below. He will also hover 5ft up, hoping Claude didn't move in that direction.

"Okay, where's the astral construct when you need it?"

Round 398: No tell-tale thud. Abe senses that this thing is not subject to sleep.
Whap whap! Abe gets pummeled by Claude twice again for 11-5+10-5=11. Abe has 17 HP remaining, and cannot tell where Claude moved to after pummeling Abe.

Abe goes total defense for rounds 398/399, then will do the Stormwing trick again (hopefully he lasts that long).

Total defense is useless (no Dex, thus no dodge bonuses vs invisibiility). I was gonna wait till I had access to my books before seeing what else he can do. I was thinking move away and ready to attack when the stalker attacks again (that way you know what direction to attack, and then next round get a full attack before the stalker goes again).

Hmmm...lookit you, Mr. "knows the rules" guy, like that matters in a rules-only combat...oh, wait. Ahem. Ya - I would think moving at least 40' in a given direction in order to prevent full attacks, then dropping the bomb in rd. 400 after he gets attacked.
