I hear it will have poorly translated Latin, and possibly some undead.

This title problem is effectively quite annoying. Was it really so out of the company budget to ask one designer to go and check out a latin grammar book? :\

I understand that probably 99% of the people won't care (or won't know) about the error, but it is a very stupid error IMO, and it is irritating. Would you buy a book titled "Complete Rouge", "Book of Exhalted Deeds" or "X Campaing Setting" even if made only of good stuff? Probably yes neverthless, but the horror! :uhoh:

Can we please, please, pretty-please let the title griping go? If it's as cool as the Draconomicon, they could call it Bob's Big Book o' Undead for all I care. I'm much more concerned with whether or not 1/3 of the book will be a refresher course on applying templates.

I'm hoping there's some good new undead creatures and as mentioned before NOT a dozen types of undead templates from old issues of Dragon.

But does it include spells that allow you to raise the dead your self? 'Cause I've been trying for weeks and the bodies just keep getting stinkier.

Where was I...

I would prefer something on par with the Draconomicon -in terms of ratio of new and old material and usefulness - than a just bag of new undead or a poor rehash of old one.

So do any of the cats working on the book care to share?

How about fixing the name?

The weird DM in me is hoping they have some insights for a players as undead campaign. I would like alternate vampires (in particular) and other undead, though please not the halfling/elf/etc Ravenloft vampires.

I think we should start a letter writing campaign to have the name changed to Bob's Big Book o'Undead! :p

But, if they let it go, how would the internet D&D geek spend their day? Without griping about Latin, they might have to go outside, go to the beach, walk around, or do any number of things that are anathema to the uber-geek. ;)
