Lich Queen's Beloved

Do you know what issue of Dragon that was?

Dragon Issue #309 (The "War" issue). The gith section was called "Incursion".

Edit: "Damn you Eric Noah! I hate when people beat me to the post while I'm posting!"

The adventure path itself is definitely not for you, as it starts at level 1 and ends at near-epic to epic levels.

You could use adventures from the tail-end of the adventure path, however, and tie them into the events in Spider Queen somehow... or just on their own, the last three adventures or so would probably work ok.

Wasn't there a drow-related/Underdark-y adventure trilogy just recently published in Dungeon? Maybe that could work in.

Or another idea is the one with the illithid prison...

The Illithid Prison one was written as a side-treck for Spider Queen, wasn't it? (en route to the City I believe).

Dungeon issue 94 had an adventure called Spiral of Manzessine. It was about a prison run by illithids, and the players show up just in time for a jail break. It is for level 11 characters, and was designed as a side-quest for City, -I BELIEVE-.

It's been a long time since I read it, so I may be confusing it with another adventure.

This issue is also important because it includes OMEGA WORLD - the wild and wahoo d20 remake of Gamma World.

SPIRAL OF MANZESSINE
Few can imagine a prison more terrifying than one run by illithids. Welcome to Manzessine. A D&D adventure for 11th-level PCs
By David Noonan

Once I realized that there was an adventure in every issue of Dungeon that I foudn worth running, as well as a bunch of maps and NPCs that I could scavenge for other stuff, I finally got a 3-year sub to the magazine.

Never regret an issue of it.

It's a great adventure. A bit too easy if your players are super-twinkers, but can be very deadly if they're not prepared.
