If I had a magic act that included a tiger...and eventually that tiger bit me...I shouldn't be surprised it did so and I shouldn't hate the tiger for doing what's in it's nature.

Bite= care more about making money than anything else
As long as DnD is controlled by a major corporation (and I can't see it ever not getting out of that status ever again) "the game" only serves as a vehicle to make money. In a world where MTV doesn't show music videos, it's entirely possible DnD is no longer a tabletop roleplaying game.
Your fear of a bad outcome should have started when Hasbro originally got involved, not just now.
