How can you make an opportunity attack without using a reaction? (RAW)
The same way that you can take a Dash Action without spending an action, have a specific feature (Cunning Action) that creates an exception to the rule. The rule does not break RAW, it creates an exception just like many other features.

The Underdark Scout ability synergizes really well with the Rogue Assassinate ability. Ranger [Deep Stalker] 5 / Rogue [Assassin] 3 nets you 3 attacks with advantage during your first turn, all of which are critical hits if you happen to surprise your opponent. Tack on Sharpshooter + Hunter's Mark + Sneak Attack, to do an average of 87 points of damage in the surprise round with a longbow at 8th level if you manage to land all of your attacks (81 points with a shortbow for smaller characters). Nice!

How would you interpret this bit from the tunnel fighting style:

"While in your defensive stance, you can make opportunity attacks without using your reaction"--does that mean the tunnel fighter uses his/her attack to make opportunity attacks or do they get a separate action to make opportunity attacks? Either way, it seems like the goal is allow the tunnel fighter to make multiple opportunity attacks (one with reaction, one [or more] without).

Reading it as a whole, I interpreted it as able to make opportunity attacks without using your reaction, AND you may spend your reaction to make another attack on someone that attempts to move past you. But I do not have it in front of me, so I am going by memory.

Nice selective reading compression you have there, why dont you continue reading what I posted then refute,

Also,
Cunning Action uses a Bonus action, not a Reaction. Dash is normally a main action, features like cunning action and step of wind allow you to perform said features as a bonus action

Lastly, it breaks the conventional RAW, because opportunity attacks occur during an opponents turn, I.e., as a Reaction, this is the framework for my question. And disecting the feature as I did in the previous post quoted, we see that the feature assigns not only your Reaction, but Bonus action as well...and seeing as it is an AoO, we must assume it happens during the opponents turn, therefore, it cannot be a main action. What action then are we assigning to this (possibly infinite) attack?

1. Tunel Fighter should have a clarification that the opportunity attacks are free attacks outside of your turn, to avoid people making attacks of opportunity while stunned for example. It's also probably good idea for the total number of attacks to be limited up to your proficiency modifier.
2. Close Quarters Shooter should give bonus damage equal to 1/2 your proficiency on attacks against enemies within 15 feet. It should also allow you to attack with disadvantage when ONLY one hostile creature is withing 5 feet of you and allow your attacks to treat the AC and Dexterity save bonuses of cover and 3/4 covers for enemies withing 15 feet as +1 and +4 rather than +2 and +5. This way it will give advantage to the player without affecting the bound accuracy or outright negating tactical elements of the game.
3. Deep Stalker magic should obviosly be clarified that those spells are always prepared rather than allways being able to be cast.
4. Hound of Ill Omen should scale with levels similar how the beastmaster's pet does, it should act on your initiative to avoid slowing the game, it should give disadvantage to saving throw only if it hits and it should be usable only once per short rest. It should be able to take bonus action to roll perception with advantage in order to find her target is successfully hidden rather than do it automatically.
4.1. The beastmaster pet should be slightly reworked. It should continue being able to follow commands given in previous rounds, should have a bit highter number of hit points and the ranger should be able to use his own hit die to heal as part of giving it a command... but this is another topic.

The only problem is that Rangers don't prepare spells. I agree the part "You are always able to cast these spells" should be removed or at least altered to say "You always know these spells". But it's also possible that the designers, knowing that the Ranger is unpopular meant always able to cast. After the last UA Super Ranger it's not that big of a stretch.
