Lightning Initiative

Is the reflex save requirement of +6 for Lightning Initiative a base save of +6, or does it include dexterity modifiers? The description in the Quintessential Fighter Handbook does not indicate that it is a base save. Is this in fact correct?

I would assume it's your base save. The Toughness feats (such as Dwarf's Toughness) in Masters of the Wild state base save.

It should be base save, however only an ignorant DM would allow it the first place IMHO.

From what I have seen of the Quintessential series, while they have some good ideas, they are very much 'power up' books written by people who have a better sense of cool than balance.

It's a feat that gives an additional +4 to initiative. There are worse feats in the PHB. Now if one house rules that initiative is rolled every round then maybe it becomes a little better, but it is not game breaker.

No, but the is an Epic Feat that does the same and you'd have to be at least 21st level to take that.

There are some epic feats that shouldn't be epic feats. Also, QF was out before ELH so it's not like any of the epic stuff was even defined at the time.
