List features of Pathfinder 2 that you like and might use in D&D 5e

I’m totally stealing up to three attacks per turn. But I think the decreasing chance to hit is poor design and the penalties are too complex for 5E’s streamlined approach. So I’m limiting it with an increasing AC penalty for attacks two and three. So you can choose a single careful attack, or go on the offensive and risk harm by taking more.

There are things that I like in PF2, but know would not work in 5e (e.g., action economy, crits/fumbles, etc.) and there are things that I like that could possibly work in 5e. In particular, I like the dismantling of Initiative into ther characters' pre-combat activities (e.g., Survival, Stealth, Perception, etc.). The primary worry here, however, is again how this would potentially make Expertise all the more desirable. I also like the move away from a language of "race" to something broader.

How about...

1 attack: 1d8+str
2 attacks: 2d8+str
3 attacks: 3d8+str

You realize this is a nerf to fighters right?

It's not a dramatic change from PF1 to 2. But in 5E there's no penalty for multiple attacks, AND you get the option to move AND take a bonus (if available). Spellcasters generally see no change from 5E to PF2, they still pretty much get 1 spell (or two small spells) and a move (or 3 small spells). But Fighters go from a maximum of 5 attacks, down to 3, and get to see large penalties added on to them?

This is the only thing I really don't like about Pathfinder 2's "new math", even in old Pathfinder Fighters could get a lot more than 3 attacks, it was basically their only way to keep up with spellcasters at high levels. So if a Fighter is now only getting to hit for 1d6+str maybe twice (prolly gonna miss a lot on that last attack), that's not even keeping up with basic cantrips or 1st level spells.

But PF2 is also making some spells require consumption of multiple actions, removing auto-scaling of spells (i.e., now upcasting), and potentially other new restrictions. I don't think we should assume that spellcasters will remain unchanged in PF2.

So far, they haven't talked about any spells that require 3 actions. Allowing some spells to use only one action (presumably smaller ones) is an increase in versatility for the spellcaster.

Hitting things with a stick is the Fighters...shtick. It's all they've got.

But I'm only pointing out that the "three actions" is a nerf from 5E to PF2. It's a slight nerf from PF1, and there only in the reduction of number of attacks.

So, additional attacks add weapon damage only? Then, high level extra attacks also add bonuses?
Sure.

Level 5, +1d8 per attack.
1 attack: 2d8+str
2 attacks: 4d8+str
3 attacks: 6d8+str

Level 11, increase die size by 1.
1 attack: 2d10+str
2 attacks: 4d10+str
3 attacks: 6d10+str

Level 20: +1d10 per attack.
1 attack: 3d10+str
2 attacks: 6d10+str
3 attacks: 9d10+str

Or something like that. (I didn't check balance).
