LN gods, evil clerics and paladins

There was an earlier thread about paladins of Wee Jas, and some people thought that a god that allows evil clerics should not allow paladins.

I was looking through Complete Divine, and found ANOTHER god, Helm, that is LN, allows evil clerics and has paladins.

Under the feat Epic Devotion: "For instance, a lawful good paladin of Helm who selected "chaos" would gain a +4 bonus to saves against chaotic spells. That paladin could not selsect "good" or "law" becasue they are part of her own alignment, nor could she selecte "evil" because Helm accepts evil clerics."

So it is not just a Wee Jas thing. And Complete Divine came out some time ago, now.

Hedrada, an LN god in Scarred Lands, has paladins too but also evil clerics. Well...not often but least a few that might enjoy his favor. LN is his favorite though.
