Looking for a certain 80's Fantasy movie

Need some help here.

A friend of mine described to me a movie she claims to be from the 80's. We're totally 100% sure though. From the little info we have, we can't figure out the title.

See if you can help us.

Here's the only info we have:

Plot has something to do with a girl (maybe princess) is shrunk down in size by an evil wizard (we think). And the main male protagonist hero has to return her back to size. By fighting and defeating the evil Wizard? Or something like that?

She also said there's a giant bird and they needed to get a piece of it's egg or something?

Does this sound familiar? Thanks for any leads you may provide.

Okay, my friend is high. It's not a film from the eighties. It's from 1958. It was The 7th Voyage of Sinbad.

I feel that my nerd cred dropped because I didn't realize it sooner.
