Looking for a D&D Next DM (with offered perks!) in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada

Greetings!

I belong to a group of 4-6 players between the ages of 30 and 40 looking for a dungeon master who is willing to commit to one game a week. Life intervenes sometimes, and we get that, but our group comes with perks! Some standard. Some unusual.

1. We have a dedicated figure painter in the group.
2. We have a reliable location to play (Kitsilano/Kerrisdale area) that is near many sources of both gourmet and junk food.
3. We have a talented baker/cook in the group who spoils us rotten (and specifically takes requests from the DM to show her appreciation).
4. We have a brewer of authentic ginger beer, root beer, and other grogs in the group.
5. We have an official writer for Wizards of the Coast in the group.
6. There is always somebody willing to pick you up and/or drop you off if you don't own transportation.

This group loves to role-play and prefers story to rules. We do look up the rules afterwards (to see what we got wrong for next time), but never at the table (if we can help it). Narrative flow is everything!

If you are a DM, and it sounds like we might be a good fit in your schedule, let me know. I hope to hear from you soon.

You didn't mention what game(s) you play.

But personally that doesn't much matter to me. I'd sign up with the perks alone. Heck, that sounds so good I'm half-tempted to move to BC. Good luck finding a GM. I'm surprised one of you aren't willing/able to step up - not even the WotC writer?

Hello Tovec.

I mentioned the game we play in the title of my thread, namely D&D Next. :)

The group are all happy as players. The writer is probably the most busy and unable to find time for DMing. We recently lost our existing DM to a multi-month performance contract, which will probably lead to more work. We're not fussy about the game setting (home-brew, printed, sandbox), but we do like the streamlined rules of D&D Next. The lack of charts and modifiers have been very conducive to game momentum at the table, which we love.

Sarah.
