That sounds great to me. I love any house rule that makes a class feature equivalent to a feat, because it opens up loads of class customization features (and I seriously don't care about preserving class roles for a balanced 1st-edition-style dungeon crawl experience). I'm just never really sure what's worth what.smootrk said:The Warrrior Rogue or Sneaky Fighter concepts could be made easily by making Sneak Dice equivalent to a Feat Choice.... the fighter gives up feats for sneak dice, and the rogue gives up sneak dice for a feat. The choice could be made at any level where one or the other the granted.... hmmm, makes me think a bit.
But, really, the Martial Rogue variant basically declares the Rogue's sneak attack progression to be equivalent to a Fighter's bonus feats, and since they both come every other level, I guess you could fairly say that each die of sneak attack is worth a feat. Barring any synergistic game-breaking effects, that really oughta be okay.
