Lord Ogglebottoms Odd Tasks: All in a Nights Work (DM: DMDanW, Judge: Renau1g)

[SBLOCK=OOC]Suggestion: You might want to go for the way know as the Mal's Combat Rules (named after Mal Malenkirk, the first to have done it that way).

Pretty much the same, but:
- When a creature trigger an AoO, you should roll for it.
- When player trigger an AoO, he rolls it (you need to give the stats of the creature basic attack for that)
- Immediate interrupt/reaction are call in advance. They can be called after the post containing the triggering event if it doesn't change too much what happen.
- HP and status... well you just need to double check everything that have happen.

Sure, at anytime, a player can state (I won't AoO that creature who has an aura that give 5 damage each time I do a melee attack on him). You can state the same for your creature or call back an AoO a player made after his post. There is a few things you will have to do after (like the guy fall in a trap... unlikely you will tell us where the trap is before we find it.), but that part of being a DM.

For AoO and Immediate Interrupt/Reaction, at least, we know exactly the situation after each post.

But for now, I can tell you do a fine job. You really just to double check each action.[/SBLOCK]

[SBLOCK=OOC]I'll still wait for Zharne and Gellan action to act.[/SBLOCK]

Seeing the bald man flee down the alley, Gellan dives and rolls through Wendel's legs, tripping him up as Gellan rises. Wendell falls, cracking his head on the pavement and falling unconscious. Gellan pursues the other human down the alley, circling around him with a snarled, "Going somewhere, friend?" His tan'gat weave in front of him in a hypnotizing pattern.

[sblock=Actions]Standard: Pressing Strike against Wendel. Shift to K-8, then attack: hits AC 22 for 11 damage. Wendel is unconscious.
Move: Walk to H-7 (Raj can take an OA).
Free: Snarl and pose. *grin* I'd try an Intimidate check, but that's a Standard action.

One status note: Gellan used his action point in the first round, so he doesn't have one now.[/sblock]

Zharne closes in on the fleeing man and lands a wicked blow and the man collapses he assumes his elf shape on top the fallen foe

[sblock=Action Details]
Move Action:shift to a square adjacent to Raj
Standard Action:grasping claws@Raj(hit ref 22 for 5 non lethal damage)
Minor Action:wildshape back to humanoid form(shift to the square Raj lies in)

[sblock=OA on Gellan]
Melee basic attack vs Gellan; 20 vs AC for 2 points of damage & human bandit shifts to H6.
[/sblock]
[sblock=Zharne]
You can keep your attack roll, but you'll have to shift before your attack to reach Raj, as he shifted to H6 as part of his OA on Gellan.
You can change your attack to a different power if you'd like, but then you'll have to make a new roll.

Gloom shift and finish the dog. "A dog who have taste blood will always seek it again." He then looks at the goblin in the roof. "Flee before we come find you."

[SBLOCK=OOC]Move: Shift to O8
Minor: Divine Challenge the dog
Standard: Holy Strike (1d20+9=19, 1d8+11=14) Hit and kill the dog.[/SBLOCK]

Cursing in gnomish, Jehad waves his arms wildly, proscribing large circles and wavy lines in the air, all the while shouting at the goblin on the rooftop. After a moment, he points to the south and slowly turns, as though swinging a giant rope. When he feels he has the goblin's full attention, he turns as though to begin a new random and unexplained motion, and then throws a glob of blue power suddenly, hoping to catch the goblin off-balance.
With a yelp of surprise, the goblin ducks to one side as the bolt zings past. While jeering at Jehad, however, he doesn't notice it loop around for another pass. The goblin shudders in pain as the energy washes over him, tinting a darker color, picking up some of the ruddiness of his skin, and then continues off the rooftop and plumets toward the vicious canine below. Sensing the coming attack, the dog turns and barks viciously at the incoming energy, which apparently decides not to get involved with the dog, and stops in midair before dissipating.
[sblock=Jehad's Actions]Chaos Bolt @ Goblin 3 (1d20+5=21). Hit for (1d10+7=8) damage.
Secondary attack vs Dog Secondary attack vs. Dog (1d20+5=6), miss.[/sblock]
[sblock=gnomish]There is no such language as Gnomish. Gnomes speak Elven like all fey.
[sblock=Elven speakers only, please]Jehad is spouting gibberish. It's very creative, and occasionally colorful, but not any coherent form of elvish you've heard before. If anything, he sounds like he's making it up as he goes.[/sblock][/sblock]

Jehad and Thorn both feel a warm sensation, like that of being by a friendly fire. The feeling is even throughout their body, and comforts extremities that had been complaining about the cold, massaging muscles that had been tightened by the strain of combat. A gentle pressure washes over their bodies, refreshing them and carrying away fatigue. Thorn's wounds seem to be less dangerous than they first seemed, and both adventurers are reminded of warm meals and soft beds (or whatever sort they prefer).

[sblock=Minharath's Actions]Standard: Healer's Mercy - Thorne can mark off a healing surge and regain (1d6+15=17) hit points, putting him at 21.
Minor: Healing Word - Jehad can mark off a healing surge and is at full hp.[/sblock]

Alright, so that just leaves Minharath left to act and a goblin on the rooftop and a halfling down the alley atop some crates as adversaries.

I see that now.

I rely on instant email notification for new postings, but unfortunately it does not let you know when someone has edited their post. I hadn't refreshed the page before posting my last post. I guess I'll have to do that a little more frequently.

I'll try and have an update posted later tonight.

Oh, and Thorn was at 11 hit points (he spent a healing surge as part of comeback strike), so your 17 puts him at 28 hit points, just 1 shy of his maximum.
