Interesting points.Rackhir said:She clearly stated that it was from the MAN she loved, whom she had killed. So I think we can rule out children or loved ones.
The DC3 seemed to me to be higher quality than just a children's toy. It also looked like it might be made out of pewter, which would indicate a keepsake item or a gift to an adult.
Another point to ponder, I don't think the US spends that much time and effort trying to track down a bank robber in another country, unless she also went on a murder spree. Also many countries are reluctant to extradite people who may be facing capital charges in the US (always a possibility if someone died durring the robbery). Because if you are making someone a most wanted criminal in Australia for a crime commited in the US, you have to be putting a pretty fair amount of effort into the pursuit.
In short, I don't think the robbery is the main reason why she was being hunted. I think someone else was pulling strings to get her/get back at her, probably because of the aformentioned "Man She killed, who she loved". I suspect weathy powerful connected parents most likely, probably objected to son's marrage/attempted marrage to Kate. He died somehow in the conflict, both Kate and X's parents blame her for his death.
At least that's my suspicion.
I'll add that I'm getting the impression that she is exactly as the "marshall" said she was: VERY dangerous. Took out 3 guys, used 2 guns at the same time, is a tremendous liar and is adept at slight of hand. Add in that she is a knockout. That equals the perfect con artist. She has a chink in the armor somewhere but we haven't seen it yet. Not wanting to kill isn't it.
Other stuff:
I like the triangle between Jack, Sawyer & Kate. It works for me and gives the show a place to focus if need be. We've got Sayid + whoever. The asian couple. Locke, Boone & Shannon. Charlie and Claire. There are others but those haven't been given much screen time as of yet.
The distinction between the small groups is great. It's almost like watching a different show with the same theme when they zone in on just one. With a format like this they can keep the show running for a very long time. Certain characters can come in and out of the spotlight with no loss of story. Jack seems to be the character always in the mix and Kate is usually in there somewhere to give us at least 2 people we'll see every week but the rest can be cycled as needed.
This show is great. I can't wait to rewatch it on DVD in widescreen. I hope the transfer is good.
