First Post
Good episode.

Who wants to take bets on Hurley actually being a gamer on the show? "I was something of a warrior back home" Not sure if those were the exact words, but that's close.

We learn more about Jack and his dad.

All "they" wanted was Claire is pretty creepy. What do "they" want with the baby?

Walt continues to be an enigma with his dice rolling. Wouldn't want to game with him on the island. ;)

I kind of wish Charlie had died. Not from a morbid streak but it would have been great shock value for the show!

What did Locke and Boone find?

It was good, except for Charlie. I almost had respect for the show thinking they might kill someone off of consequence.

As for Claire, well this was hinted at heavily in her flashbacks with the psychic and the baby. So, it really didn't suprise me at all.

Definitely agree about Charlie as stated in above post.

Wasn't surprised about Claire, just liked the "all they wanted was Claire" creepiness.

I would glady have traded charlie dying for the creepy line though.

a great episode again, although Jack's flashbacks weren't all that relevant this time.... I wanna see Hurley's background! :)
Crap. They start reruns next week (and on Enterprise too, sob)... how long till new shows?

Pretty cool show. Kind of a filler, but cool. Nice interaction between Sawyer & Sayyid. And yeah...what did they find?!?

:-)

Good article on "Lost" a couple of weeks ago in Entertainment Weekly. Jorge Garcia said that his character wasn't originally in the show but when Jorge came to audition they liked him, so they created Hurley for him. Anyway, Jorge said his flashback was either going to air in Feb. or be filmed in Feb. I suddenly can't remember which it was. If I haven't tossed the issue yet, I'll look it up.

Have to chime in and agree with everyone so far.
I also was thinking wow, what a ballsy move to kill of Charlie! So I was a little dissappointed when they did bring him back after that extended scene. I'll get over it though, Charlie is a neat character and it will be nice to see more of them.

They're almost making me believe that Locke is a good guy again. I was convinced that he already knew about the "others". From his experience in possibly seeing the "monster", to his hanging out with Ethan as hunters, but now I'm starting to doubt that again.

All in all, good episode, just wish we didn't have to wait so long to see the next episode :(

Hurley must be a gamer. And i thought Charlie was dead, because i keep hearing one of the main characters dies this season so.... And I think he was dead, and he came back, but I am crazy so.

I've gone thinking...Did Charlie actually say that they wanted the baby? Or was his statement "They only wanted Claire" revelatory in that they were unconcerned with the baby.

Hurley's definitely my favorite character on the show and, even though I suspect bad things of him, Locke comes a close second. My favorite part of tonight's episode though was the interplay running around between Sawyer and everyone else. I figure that he's almost ready to flip one way or the other now, either take everything he's gotten from the plane and leave camp to join the "others" or to finally join the cast in a more Han Solo role than Dr. Smith from Lost in Space.

Hey, did anyone else, upon seeing the little bandage-rings that Charlie left behind, say "not idly do the leaves of Lorien fall"?

Okay, I'm wracking my brain trying to think of this. Walt's trouncing Hurley at their game, and Hurley gets up to leave by saying that he has a meeting. What was that about? Was it a joke? He didn't say it in a really jokey manner. Was there something in the next scene with Hurley that referenced this?

Oh, and the metal thing under the soil? Obviously a UFO ;)
