Is Locke bad? He is certainly mysterious.

Then Boone wants to go back and Locke can go off on his own like he wanted.

What do you think?

M.
I think Locke is happy on the island and would not leave. ;) I think Locke also likes to know the worth of people, he does this by seeing their nature and how they think. He likes the kid because the kid has not fear, he likes Jack because he is a leader and a healer. He is starting to like Boone because Boone wants to test his own limits and face his fears. He does not like Micheal (kid's father) because he pushes his own fears onto his son.

I was just thinking about Locke's comment about building boxes. Boxes are containers for items, storage units...but could that not be said about the island? Could it be that Locke is one of the creators? Could it be that he knows it?

He states on the show that he misjudged Ethan, let him hunt with him. Think this is the truth?

IMHO I think that's a little far fetched. A little too much like Cube

I was all set for Charlie to die. I was even thinking that he had found himself and was now ready to leave purgatory. Oh well so much for the purgatory idea. If that was the case Charlie wouldn't come back. I am disapointed in Charlie not staying dead because I now have no fear as a viewer that any of the main characters will die.

I like the idea of a hatch to an underground base. with the purgatory theory blown I can't help but think: just how big is this island. People can travel for days on it and it has a mountain at least a couple thounsand feet tall so just how is it not known and populated? (especialy if there is a major poulation center 2 days sail away) If there is a hatch and a military base I can see how people are kept off it.

Sawyer’s line about using a fake name, what does he know…
The episode with Sawyer's flashbacks showed that Sawyer wasn't his real name, it was the name of the con-man who ruined his family.

What did Locke and Boone find?

That's a good question. When Sayid was captured by that lady a couple episodes ago, did'nt she talk about some disease on the island and watch out for it? I think it was a canister which can be linked to it. It could also be a bunker access hatch that has been long forgotten

Again, I state we really do not know Ethan is a bad guy, so Locke may not have misjudged him. The other question, Locke seems to understand the island better than anyone else, may that not be because of Ethan? Did Locke know he was not from the plane and what bits of information might have been given to Locke?

But now the question, Charlie says they only want Clarie, now I have to wonder if the whole crash was part of that plan. Crash a plane just to get a bady? Mmmmmm.

Yes, it is far fetched but it is a staple in fiction and sci-fi. ;)

I think Locke was genuinly upset he didn't see Ethan for who he was. Remember Locke is the HUnter/Primitive (in a sense) personified. The provider and protector. Hunting with a man in societies based on survival was to know the trueness of that man. Locke was upset and feels responsible.

Just my impression.
