Lost 2/16/05 Spoilers!!!

I really think that Sawyer figured out that the man was Jack's father, the look on his face proved it. I can only assume that Sawyer will start liking Jack even less than he did before.

Really cause I have a feeling it will be the other way around. The whole point of the episode was about revenge and letting it go for Sawyer. He killed and innocent man all for revenge. He hunted the boar for revenge. In the end it wasn't worth it and won't solve or change anything.

Thats just my take. I usally suck at symbolism.

This was a good episode, but it had a rather large plot hole. Before "Sawyer" shot "Frank Sawyer", it would have been reasonable to think that he would first actually ask "Are you Frank Sawyer?". That would have cleared up everything. It's rather unreasonable for Hibbs to believe that Sawyer wouldn't ask this simple question before killing a man.

That's what I and Mrs. arnwyn thought, too. We looked at each other near the end and asked "what would have happened if Sawyer simply talked to the guy first?" I suppose Hibbs was relying on the fact that Sawyer is hot-headed and impulsive... but still.

They shouldn't have too many of this coincidental meetings in the past though.

Oh, TOO LATE, dude! They've been doing this for MONTHS, in the background, and this is the first time it's been brought into the foreground...

* When Michael was in the hospital, after being hit by the car, you can see Dr. Jack in the background.

* When Boone is at the police station, trying to get Shannon's current boyfriend arrested, you can see Sawyer getting arrested in the background.

I found it interesting that Sawyer didn't tell Jack what his Dad said about him... yet! I have a definite feeling that all of this will come up again, and again...

Hurley is just helping everyone and where he can, they really need to tell his story as he seems the only 'normal' person in the group!

My wife's comment concerning Hurley's upcoming story episode was "It better have dice". Both she and I are convinced he's just a big gamer geek. His statement to Walt "you know, I'm known as something of a warrior where I come from" would seem to be a big clue. I can't imagine that he means it litterally, he's just too big and out of shape to be a martial artist or an athlete. He also seems to lack the aggresiveness and savy to be some kind of street brawler, bodyguard or club bouncer. Besides, who besides a gamer would call himself a "warrior"? I'll be really disapointed if we don't see Hugo/Hurley tossing some dice during a D&D session.

My wife said the Matthew Fox was on Regis and Kelly (she's a stay at home mom) and he said that someone is going to die this season. By that I think he meant one of the cast members.

So, if we wanted to start a pool.... :)

I don't mind the small background comings and goings as they are quite believable. However, this is the first time anyone has interacted with another character in the backstory and I agree that I don't want too much of this crossover. I did like the interaction between Swayer and Jack's dad though.

Crothian, it was Jacks father Sawyer spoke to in the bar.
(from your response is sounds to me like maybe you didn't recognize him, or see the prior episode with him)

I think what Fett was asking was did the writers make it too coincidental that Sawyer and Jacks dad would meet, or was it a good plot device? (Correct me if I'm wrong Fett)

Personally I thought it was ok, and liked the last moments of the show when Sawyer put that together. They shouldn't have too many of this coincidental meetings in the past though.

That is what I was asking and as I stated before, too many of these meetings and it will get tired very quickly.

[sblock]One of the 14 (main characters) is going to die and be killed by one of the other 14...[/sblock] the question is will they stay dead!
