Had it been me, we would have had naked togetherness many, many times by now. :)

And I still don't know what the hell is going on??!!

well I though it was a pretty good episode. I really do like Locke's wise mentor sort of vibe it's cool. especially considering his "past life"

for some reason the "relationship" with Kate and Charlie is getting on my nerves just slightly... oh he's trapped lets forget our chance at leaving the island to go rescue him... not like it made a difference with someone nailing sayid. any theories on who did that?
I'm assuming you mean Kate and Jack.

Just clarifying. Carry on... :)

I find that blonde bimbo to be far more irritating and dangerous to their survival than Sawyer....
Darn right. Every time I see her, I get a little fearful: "What will she screw up now?" I wonder. I was shocked that she managed to fire off the rocket successfully.

This episode both enthralled me and cheesed me off. First, I'll say Locke is by far my favorite character (since the beginning, really - but I have always liked Terry O'Quinn). I was most excited that they're actually looking for the source of the transmission. This is the most intriguing part of the show, for me, and I'm glad they're taking the effort to go find it.

I was cheesed off, though, because of the (or what I perceive as) idiocy of some of the characters. Why would Boone give his dumbass sister the big responsibility of one of the devices? And, the big one: why would Kate just wander off doing something incredibly important (IMO) leaving it to Sawyer of all people (who she clearly hates and distrusts) to run off to the cave-in? Surely she must at least partially realize that there are lots of other people available to help (and there was). Gah!

In any case, this is a great show. I'm dying to know about that bloody transmission.

Heheh. I didn't actually see a flame (not that it wasn't there) from the lighter. She wants off the island big time, so I'm not surprised that she was entrusted to do such a simple (but important) task. She's gotta be good for something, right?

A sign of a great series if you ask me. You got the whole range of emotions right there. :)

Terry O'Quinn is awesome and this is one of his best roles. He's got that hint of darkness under everything like he is working on a slightly higher level than everyone else. You seem to be a little more into the transmission than I am but it is one of the best parts of the show. I want to know more about Sayid, myself.

See me comment about Boone above. I didn't have a huge issue with it after giving it a little thought. As for Kate, she obviously has very strong feelings for Jack. She has proven to lead with her heart and gut from day one. Not to mention that out of anyone on the island, they seem to have the strongest natural bond (although I could see Charlie and Locke eclipsing it later in the series). As for leaving Sawyer alone, she doesn't like being around him anyway. She may be tough but she is still human. It's surprising the kinds of stupid things people will do for those that they love. This includes ignoring the needs of others and your own well being.

Next week looks like a barn burner. I can't wait!

We never see who hits Sa'id, nor do we see who fires the last rocket. Was it Sawyer who fired the rocket? Then he didn't whack Sa'id. Did someone else fire the last rocket? Then it could have been Sawyer whacking the Iraqi.
We now have the partial stories of Kate, Jack, Locke, Sun, Charley, and I think that's it. Next week it should be Sawyer. Maybe the blond.
Anyone else notice that the cave-in occurred after Charley got mad, and declared himself "A ROCK GOD"? I guess the island didn't like that too much. (Only one god on that island, and its the island :] )

I was taken out of the story line when Sa'id had the bottle rockets....HELLOOOO??? in the post-9/11 world those wouldn't be allowed on the plane. I could understand perhaps finding flares or a flare gun within the emergency equipment on the plane.

Locke is a dark interesting character. He's made himself a person that is relied upon, but yet keeps himself away from the group.

Kate and Jack - puuullleeeaasse!! UGH, it's only been 8 days...at bit early for a "romance" to be budding.

I do find it interesting, with the exception of the Korean couple, everyone is alone. Yes, there is the father/son, but they just met and aren't really a relationship. hmmmmmm - wonder if this "means" something or if this is just what the writers wanted to keep the storyline interesting.

Well Sayid (finally got around to checking how his name is spelled) did say that 'thank heavens for fireworks smugglers'. Unlikely? Pretty much...but not impossible. I'm williing to let that one slide.

Well, I'd say it's too early for a serious relationship to be growing...a mutual attraction, particularly under duress? Frankly, I'm suprised they've managed to fight it this long. Now, having a long running relationship after things calm down that will last? That's the hard part.

Well, I think the suggestion that everyone on the show is metaphorically 'Lost', as well as physically is a good one. They all appear adrift in their lives. Locke was the first one to be found, I think.

As for Walt and his son, I think last night, they bonded. Look at his son when his father suddenly takes charge....that's pride and awe. That's a 'Whoa! My dad is cool!' look. I loved that scene to bits. Walt went from just another survivor to a domain expert in 10 seconds flat.

You also forgot the sister-brother, Shannon and Boone. They may not like each other, but they have each other.

Speaking of Shannon, didn't she still screw up? Yes, she lit the rocket...but wasn't she supposed to do something with the transmitter? On the other hand, I guess she did it, since Sayid got some sort of reading. Maybe they just decided it was too time consuming to show her actually doing it.

The big question: who hit Sayid, and why? I don't think it was Sawyer. He's an ass, as I've said, and I think we're meant to suspect him...but mostly because we don't like him. I'm very, very curious to learn more of his character, and find out why he acts the way he does. What was the meaning of the letter we saw him reading on the beach a few days earlier? I think he's a Chaotic Neutral character in the worst possible way. He cares only for himself...but was he always that way? He strikes me as the unbending tree in the hurricane...and from hints of next week, he'd rather break than yield.

They never catch everything. Plus, the flight was going to the US, not from it so I imagine that the security (while tight) may not catch everything. Yeah, a bit of a stretch, I know. :)

Considering the amount of stress that everyone just went through, finding someone you care about in all the chaos is certainly possible. Look at how they met (she sewed him up) and see how people are forced to care for each other just to survive. They have gone through more in a week than some people do in years. Romance (or just a really strong connection) can start at any time, especially in times of need. I should also add that she probably felt a little guilty for leaving him to begin with.

Anyway, it's plainly obvious (even before this episode) that they care for each other but the circumstances are not allowing them to explore their relationship.

Locke is my fav character as well. I like the fact that he can walk again.
Charley has definitely shown to be a good character as well, him and locke will have a strong friendship.
Kate and Jack is inevitable, formula for a good tv series always includes a romance.
Next week looks to be good, I hope.
