Lost - The Moth (11/3/04)

Frankly, I don't understand why Kate and Sayid shared their plan with him.

Two reasons, I would guess: first, he knows about the transmission, so he'd figure out what they were up to pretty quickly. Better to have him with them on that point. Second, of the 'transmit team', they only have three choices, as far as Sayid knows: Boone, his sister and Sawyer. He was the lesser of the three evils. :)

I think it should be fairly obvious who whacked Sayid. All you have to do is figure out who could have done it. Very few characters knew about Sayid's plan and where to find him. Sayid made the plan with Kate and Boone. Saywer eventually got in on it as did Boone's sister. Asside from them, I don't think anyone else was aware of the plan at all.

Of course- there's the possibility that the "whacking" was done by someone we've never seen before- maybe someone already on the island? (He was trying to track down that transmission, after all.)

Speaking of which, isn't someone we have seen supposed to have not been on the plane in the first place? I thought I remembered hearing rumors to that effect. That person is a likely suspect (even though we don't know who it is). Maybe they don't want everyone to leave the island.

Personally I think it was the French women, the one from the tape. Its very possible that she is still alive and more then likely way over the bend. He was getting a very strong signal so the transmitter had to be close by... which means she (if she was alive) would have been close by as well

I'm actually hoping it's Locke, because that will sort of heavily reinforce the notion that Locke doesn't want off the island at all and perhaps knows something more about the island thanks to his encounter with the "monster" than he's revealed.

Here's a spoiler about an upcoming episode, one that might reveal who the attacker was:
Bablylon 5's Mira Furlen will be in one or more upcoming shows, and is perhaps playing the French woman.
WARNING, that's a REAL SPOILER, so if you want to be surprised, please don't look. Someone told me about it without spoiling it and so I had no choice. YOU have a CHOICE. :)

^ To expand on Fast Learner's post, i was flipping through next week's TV Guide and accidentally stumbled on a rather spoilery description of next week's Lost.

The french woman is alive and well and takes Sayid hostage.
Guess he was able to triangulate the signal...

Thank you for the spoiler text. Seriously.

I am very tempted to peak but this show is just too damn good. I'm sorry that someone spoiled it for you. :(

Those kinds of folks need to be put in a very small room for a very long time.
