Can someone spoil it for me? WE moved gaming to tonight and like an idiot and set to record it wrong.
Do the best I can here, I haven't found a decent synopsis to link to.

Start off with Jin and Sun sharing a moment with a thumbs up from Hurley. Locke and Michael are in the hatch and Michael asks about blast doors that come down from the ceiling that no one has noticed before. Kate it is out gathering fruit and encounters a black horse but we don't know if it is real or not. Flashback to Kate greeting her stepfather and helping his drunk ass into bed. She drives away and the house he is in goes BOOM! Kate then confronts her mother and tells her she took out an insurance policy on the house and that she is safe now. Cut to Jack talking to Sawyer about Kate who replies while still feverish that he loves her. Jack asks if he means Kate but no answer. They have a funeral service for Shannon and Kate stays with Sawyer by herself. Sawyer grabs Kate by the throat and asks why she killed him. Kate freaks and takes off and when Jack and Locke get to the hatch the counter has almost rundown to zero, but Locke gets the code in just in time. Flashback to Kate and the Marshall from the plane capturing her- her mother turned her in. As he is transporting her back the car wrecks after he swerves to miss an animal in the road. Kate gets out and sees it was a black horse... Locke asks Michael if wants to watch the film and Eko asks to see it as well. After watching it , Eko shows Locke the Bible he found and inside hidden in the cutout pages is part of the film that was spliced. Flashback to Kate talking to her "father" and Kate ask why he didn't tell her that the her "stepfather" was really her father. He knew she'd kill him. Kate thinks Sawyer is channeling her dead father and she tells him that she killed him because she knew because he was a part of her things would never work out- like her feelings for Sawyer. At which point Sawyer wakes up with a snide remark. Hugging and funny moment ensues when Sawyer thinks Kate is yanking his chain that they haven't been rescued. They go outside and Sawyer realizes the truth. Then they encounter the black horse- it's real as they both see it. We watch the film with Locke and Eko while Michael seems to be looking at and possibly tinkering with the computer equipment. The new part of the film states explicitly that the computer is not to be used to communicate with the outside world or another incident could occur. We cut over to Michael who hears a new beeping sound we haven't heard before. he looks up and notices the timer has stopped. he then sees the computer screen and notices the word "Hello?" He types the same.

"who is this?"
"This is Michael, who is this?"
"Dad?"

Hmmmm......
I think its funny that the ourangutang named "joop" is referred to as experiment 626. That's also the numerical designation of Stich in Disney's Lilo and Stich movie. If you've never seen it, its not a bad little cartoon about an experimental creature bred ONLY FOR DESTRUCTION...who finds a family on earth. :)

Yet again Hurley had the best line of the night when he was talking to Jack. If only the Ny-Quil didn't cloud my memory I would quote it. :(

new theoiry...what if this is one of the double, triple...whatever blind tests. You start off with people thinking they are being tested for something but in reality its something else. But the people that set that up are actually part of the test and don't know it and it sort of goes like that till everyone on the island is part of the test and now they are just bringing in ne wpeople to see what happens.

So, the chanlneling of Kate's father, is that why people think they are dead? I've heard this theory and someone off the boards said this episode really made them think that.

I don't think Sawyer was channeling Kate's dad. My theory is Sawyer reminds Kate so much of her father, that she was imagining he was speaking to her as Wayne. It was all in her mind, her conscious(sp) was eating at her so she confessed to the closest thing there was to Wayne. She needed to vent and who better than to someone who can't hear you.

I think Sawyer said something to trigger Kate and Kate called him Wayne and he responded because that is his real name, this made her think he was channeling her father.
