[LotR] My enthusiasm for all other movies will pale in comparison...

Barendd:
It is almost certain that I'll be back in the theaters again this weekend watching RotK, this time with my wife who was gracious enough to stay home with the kids last night so I could enjoy my third LotR midnight premier. How did you like the film? For my part, see remarks below...

Back to the original thread topic:
After seeing RotK last night, I can only say -- amazing. Simply amazing. It is without question IMO, that this trilogy will remain unsurpassed in its scope, appeal, and epic quality throughout our lifetimes. Hats off and a deep heartfelt thanks to Peter Jackson, his staff, the cast, and everyone involved in making Lord of the Rings a movie reality.

QB: My wife and I will be out Friday at the 8-ish showing at Livonia AMC 20 on Seven Mile and Haggerty, if you and your wife are looking to see it again this weekend. Where are you planning on going?

It'll be the second time for us too; although our first isn't for another few more hours. As to the trilogy being unsurpassed; I'm excited to start having the debates comparing Lord of the Rings with the Classic Star Wars trilogy already... It's a fun time to have geeky hobbies, let me tell you.

Josh:
I appreciate the invite, but Friday is the first night of Hanukkah. And although we're having a big family party on Sunday, we've also planned a quiet celebration at home with the boys for Friday. Maybe if you and the missus are up for a third go round, we can all see it together.

As for the upcoming debates, they can rage on all around me but I shall not take part, fun though they may be. Both are great in their own right, but my personal bias lies strongly with LotR.
