[LotR] My enthusiasm for all other movies will pale in comparison...

Leaving now

I'm leaving now for the marathon, that starts in exactly one hour. Extended versions of the first two movies on the big screen, followed by the third movie, all in a row with a few short breaks, at arguably the best theatre in Los Angeles, the Hollywood Arclight Cinerama Dome!

Sweeeet....

I'm so with you guys on this. I also think I have another year or less to wait for the EE of RotK so Tomorrow isn't the last of this wonderful trilogy. :D

It is sorta sad to have something my friends and I have talked about and anticipated for several years draw to its conclusion. But nonetheless, I'm pretty darn excited about tonight's premier. And unlike with the previous two films, I was smart enough to take the day off tomorrow for some rest...and perhaps I'll see it again just that soon :)

Do it, Quickbeam! I am going at midnight tonight and again at 10 a.m. tomorrow--sleep? who needs sleep? And I'm going again on Sunday. Best movie-going week of my life. :D

Plus, I finished the last book this morning at 1 a.m., so at least I can say I made it through the books before I watched the movies. I can not believe how much was *not* spoiled for me. Yowsa, I still had many surprises reading that last 150 pages!

I leave for the midnight showing in just a few hours now...I'm ready. Very very ready. I'll get home...sleep for two hours...then go take two Finals...then go...and at 1PM...I'll see it again.

Something tells me I'll have tears both times.

Free gift of three actual film cells, one from each movie, is so cool....holding it now, whispering softly "My Precious" over and over again...

Yup, I'll have to pull mine out and see what I got. We're heading back to the theater in just a few hours to see RotK a second time, this time with friends.
