M&M SRD?

Hi all,

Long time lurker (since summer 2000 in Eric Noah's site), this is the first time I post here. Sorry for my bad English, I'm from Spain and my written English isn't as good as I'd like it to be...

I've asked the same question in Green Ronin's forum, so please forgive me for the crossposting, I think I could have interesting answers here :-)

For the last months I've been running a rather gritty historical campaign set in medieval Spain, using a heavily modified version of M&M. Now, after the success of the campaign among my players, I've considered releasing it as a Superlink supplement, I'm trying to put it in a nicely formatted PDF and distribute it freely.

And to save some time, I'd love to find a SRD version of M&M rules, at least for the combat chapters. Please, don't misunderstand me. I love M&M, and I and all my players have the rulesbook, I don't want the SRD to have the rules for free. I want it to copy/paste some parts of the combat chapter and modify them with the home rules for my setting.

So, please, if moderators find this unacceptable, delete this post. But if not, is there any place where I could find a fully legal SRD for M&M, at least for the combat chapter?

Thanks a lot!!!

You're not the first one to ask this over on Green Ronin's forums. The response last time from the GR folks was that it wasn't going to happen. I'd be very surprised if that changes but I'm sure you'll find out for yourself.

I've been reading GR's forums for a while, but I guess I missed those threads... and I haven't been able to find them with the search function, I guesss I need to take more ranks in Research skill

Oh, well, I guess I'll have to type it all myself...

Thanks a lot!!!

Only one publisher besides Wizards have put out SRD for the d20 system network: Guardians of Order. The company have released Anime d20 SRD and Mecha d20 SRD.

Sorry, but Green Ronin chose not to release one, as they have already designated the OGC in their commercial print products. They prefer to skip that task so they can busily work on their next project.

Bummer.

If only there was an "I have the book at home, I just want to surreptitiously make PCs at work" SRD with a subscriber password or something... :)

I was aware of GoO's SRDs, and I guessed that GR could have one too, as they have released all the Superlink licence.

I can understand the logic besides that, yes... but it's a pity, at least for me :p

All they did is released an M&M Superlink trademark use license. They assume you have the product Mutants & Masterminds to work with. If you have any question on how to use the license and the OGC portion of MnM, I suggest you contact Green Ronin.

At least there are serious publishers who are using the Superlink logo. :D

Hey, wait a minute...

Only because you haven't heard of me before and I make some mistakes on English, you shouldn't considerer me neither clueless nor ignorant ;) I've been writting RPG stuff for a while now (even if most of them in Spanish). I have no questions about how to use the OGL, the OGC of M&M rulesbook, and I understand the M&M Superlink licence.

I only have said that I hoped that they had released a SRD as complement to their Superlink licence, to help people who want to use M&M's OGC in their projects.

Right now I have a campaign setting and a set of rules, and I want to release a part of it as a free (but well editted, illustrated and layouted) PDF, to gauge people's oppinion and decide if it is worth on commercial venture. So please, I don't need a patronizing tone ;)

Edit: Sorry if I misunderstood you, here in Spain it's early in the morning and I haven't taken my coffee yet (and I should wait to take my coffe before posting, it makes my posts more coherent)

The thread in question was around close to a year ago, so I wouldn't feel too bad about it if I were you. :)
