[M&M2E] Freedom League Unlimited (OOC)

You are still all new members, invited en masse only weeks ago. Enough time to perhaps get accustomed to the Lighthouse. But everything is still fairly new.

This will be your first mission as a Leaguer.

OK, thanks. Got a few sentences of description of what Iron Fist is like, personality-wise? I'm looking for inspiration :)

Well you do not have to follow Iron Fist that closely but I will answer as best I can.

Writers have had somewhat different takes on Danny over the years.

Back in the 70s he was fairly serious and bent on avenging his parents deaths and prone to announcing every strike he was throwing's name or what stance he was using.
He was also fond of using the exclamation "Gods of K'un Lun!"
He used his Iron Fist technique as alast resort and was constantly surprised if & when foes would get back up from it (like against Colossus, Cage, The Wrecker)

His PM&IF days he was much more friendly but due to multiple writers came off a bit erratic. From being an exhasperated babysitter for his partner to the straight man for various jokes. He saw somewhat of a depowering phase here as well. One use of the Iron Fist often exhausted him. He was fond of sparring and teaching kung-fu.

After his "death" and "rebirth" he was downright gregarious at times and often joked around. He filled out more of a leadership role in a team setting and gone was much of the limitations of using his Iron Fist.

One common element in all versions of Danny has been self-doubt. Danny is very hard on himself and constantly berates himself for being "out of practice" or often doubts himself against truly superhuman foes. He also has doubts about how he handles relationships etc... However he never doubts the ability of the Iron Fist Technique.

I havent been able to collect his Avengers appearences or the current series so I cant help there.

Thanks, that was helpful. Posted.

A question to the group: do we want to have the characters open about their secret identities? Personally, I figure that if comic-book logic extends to why characters' secret identities are never discovered by villains, it might as well extend to telling your teammates your secret identity working out fine. But it will be a little strange to have some of us open about secret identities (well, Psyker excluded :)) and some of us still in secret in the same group.

SG is open about her identity, figuring that she can trust the Freedom League.

I'd definitely prefer this.

Well, he hasn't been on in a few days and he wasn't posting much here before that. So I'd prefer to move ahead and then you can always work him in later- especially as a Speedster it will be easy to work him in to wherever the group is :)
