[M&M2E] Freedom League Unlimited (OOC)

I would suggest that people stop displaying their thoughts of other players, unless telepathy was directly involved, that way there would be no such incidents of players poking fun at the build of the others, unless they specifically said it out loud.

Matt's an old friend IRL; I make exceptions :)

David couldn't really make out the words on the panel adjacent to him. It seemed like total gibberish, almost as if some kind of writer had been called out for excessive upgrades to the power of one of his characters at the expense of flavor, and had responded in a petulant fit.

...
David's chi-enhanced hearing (OOC: the setting of David's array) picks out Max's words to Bulldog. Well, he's certainly got a point about making sure Supreme Girl doesn't do anything stupid... invulnerability and being able to punch through steel with ease isn't so useful in a hostage situation

He echoes Max's words. "Agreed. If there are metahumans here, it will be best if we work together. That some of us are nearly invulnerable is of little use to the hostages."

Max continues to sense David insulting some underlying cosmic force, and starts wondering if he really does have Deadbeat's strange illness.

OK, seriously, lets stop disrupting the game -- There are only so many PP around, and the ones that would have gone to charisma or a couple more ranks of knowledge:bus (which I don't think is even necessary) instead went to ensure that all of the bases in the relatively expansive concept were covered -- and all that is part of flavor too.

Sure. But I poke fun at the way you created your character and all you can come up with is something about my character being able to see the underlying game mechanics at work (and/or being insane). Not something wittier about the way I created my character? For example:

Max didn't know what to think of David. A martial artist whose name was based on his signature move? It seemed very generic, very unoriginal. It was almost as if David was the conjunction of all unoriginality in the world, taken together and walking on two legs.

Real friends, enemies, don't know eachother I don't really care. It stops period.

If you do know eachother then IM and argue. In fact I would appreciate it if you both go back and edit your posts so the potshots are excised from my game.

Thank you.

What about me? ;)
Mind Reading 7 (31pp) - Action(+2), Area:Burst(+1), PF: Subtle, Selective, Progress(Range) **Psyker can detect the thoughts of any/all within 70 feet of him (Unless their will save beats his power check), reading surface thoughts as a free action and being able to probe one of their minds as a move action.**

On that note, however, are there any who have a problem (Player or DM, not character) with me catching 'stray thoughts' during out-of-combat situatios (IE roleplaying)? What I refer to by 'stray thoughts is those you actively include in your post, such as, for example "Aw crap" bob thought "another freaking super-hero"

We will be using www.invisiblecastle.com for dice rolls. Please use [Freedom League] then your character's name in the 'Character Name' section and what the roll is for in the notes section.

Just caught this bit of information. I'm running a bit slow right now due to an infected cyst, arm cramps, and some seriously strong antibiotics. I'll get the die roll format right next time.

Mea culpa maxima.

This is fine as flavor but no Godmoding or posting other character's thoughts w/o a check. But NPCs on the street that aren't important..Go nuts.

Plan (as I understand it):

Step 0 (Forgot to post this)...can we get the Leaguers who built it to send me detailed info on the security system and its vulnerabilities (which I will share with Psyker)?...since Daedalus and Dr. Met built it, they probably would know how to defeat it...if really lucky, there could be some kind of override function.

Step 1: Clear the press back as far as possible, and ask that they not discuss the progress at the museum for just a few minutes.

Step 2: Stone engages them in negotiations , and does so until further notice.

Step 3: Try to sneak up to the top of the building, maybe along a side. SG carries Psyker and Draogn Fist. PL waits. If that does not seem feasible, we appear to leave, go to a nearby building just as tall, and do an arial insertion if that seems more stealthy by flying across the gap as rapidly/stealthily as possible (if there are devices around to make that easier, we'll use them.)

Step 4: Max scans for monitoring equipment and tries to disable them (preferably in a way that cant be noticed...making them show old footage for instance) one by one, with Psyker's Disable Device acting as a backup if it can be done without seeing us.

Step 5: If we can do this, we get to the roof, and do this to get through the elevator shaft.

Step 6: Once we get near, using SG's XRay vision we check the situation out. Once a path is clear, PL zooms in and grabs the hostages, while the rest charge in, starting with some smoke grenades. Stone and the cops attack whoever is in their range, while the cops keep a perimeter. If things really go South and fighting starts, we skip to this.

OOC, another issue: Where is the security command center? I fear there is another super in there. If it can be seized stealthily quicker and easier than the main group, we might want to change a little. Also, Max will levitate using gravity functions so that he can be a lot quieter, not having to touch walls and floors.

EDIT: I fear they have external lookouts, but I don't see any way around not-too-stealthy folks going in, and we don't have anything that makes them more stealthy that I can see.

The security system is fairly routine and that part was not built by any Leaguer.

Done...for the moment.

Since there is no line of communication, how exactly will this be done?

Okay.

The security center it one of the most secure rooms in the middle of the building. No obvious means are present to get there stealthfully.

Any feedback from anyone else?

Mark Chance and Tailspinner you guys have been somewhat non-interactive.

I really do not want to have to prod people to post!

I have no idea how we're gonna get stone to open communications. The reason I suggested SG in the beginning was
A: She's the strongest & Toughest of us if they decide to negotiate with bullets.
B: as was pointed out by someone else, she's a blonde-haired/blue eyed hot chick.
C: Cuz I honestly don't have any ideas for getting in touch with the terrorists other than walking in the front door and shouting to get their attention. :(

As to the security center - Psyker's trained and outfitted for sneaking in places he shouldn't be able to (With the passive concelament camo and high stealth check, he can walk down a corridor and be virtually invisible to anyone without a really good notice check or some form of super sense). Once he's done with the mind reading, he can pass that info to whoever's with him and attempt to sneak into the security command center.

I have a couple problems with this.
A: Splliting the party. It makes sense from Psyker's point of view (Being used to going in alone on such missions), but as a Player I dislike splitting the party any more than is absolutely neccessary (And I know from experience that it can cause problems for the GM as well).
B: If there IS another super in there, there's a chance he could be able to down Psyker.
C: Chance of detection.
