GM: Yes, that's high enough to detect the electronics. So Silver Streak is NOT surprised but the robot will still go before him. Just waiting for [MENTION=4936]Shayuri[/MENTION] then

The large mechanical creature straight out of a horror story burst from the ground and let loss a tremendous roar that sent freezing like fear through the heroes before it!!!!

GM: OK looks like everyone is not as fast as it. The Shadow and Kitsune are the only two surprised. In the Surprise Round you are Stunned (can't act) and Vulnerable, halving their active defenses (Dodge and Parry only; it does not affect Toughness, Fortitude or Will saves). Initiative 27 - Robot Spider 26 - Princess Starlight 23 - the Shadow 18 - Kitsune 15 - Silver Streak 9 - Rumble [sblock=Rolls and Results]Robot Killer Spider uses Frightful Roar (Affliction) power. This means everyone must make a Dodge (Shadow and Kitsune only get 1/2 this, round up). If you get a 20 you can ignore the Will save. If you fail you need to make a Will save. If your roll is a total of 15-19 you fail by one degree and Dazed and Vulnerable, if you get 14 or less you failed by two degrees and instead you are Defenseless and Stunned. If you have failed by any degree you get a new roll at the END of your turn after you have acted. So no roll to recover if you were surprised as you don't get to act yet.[/sblock] Saving Throws for everyone. Then Princess Starlight, Silver Streak and Rumble can act!!
