After a moment of silence, Rinaldo says "Interresting. My turn to count you a story. It was... my, it has been a time since that happen... I was travelling with my escort to a vinyard. It was a friend of mine who was the owner. I hadn't news from him and he never miss a month without giving news. I was concerned, so I decide to go visit him. When arrived at the sight of the vinyard, me and my men were attack by two creature. They look like something between an orc and an ape..." and Rinaldo continue to tell his story like that, waiting the return of Mordik

OOC: If you want to know more about that story, read Trek to the Vinyard, the first story of LEW ever played.

OOC: I'll roll for Mordik: MS: 15+7=22; Hide 1+7=8; Spot 5+3=8 edit - whoops, our posts crossed. Not dissimilar results. I'll keep my narrative as it stands...

Mordik silently slips out of the room and down the hallway. Silently he opens the outside door, but it opens more easily than he expected, and he accidently steps out into the courtyard beyond instead of simply peeking out a crack.

Mordik
[sblock] The dwarf, with his darkvision, clearly sees two men walking down the gravel path. They are heading around the corner towards the barn or the street, not having taken the turn off to the outhouse. The two men are familiar. They have often been spotted in the common room of the inn. One is about about 3 and half foot tall, with a full beard and long brown hair. You can't tell if he is a scrawny dwarf, a large halfling, or a midgit human. The other is 5.5 feet tall, a man with trim black hair. Both carry swords and wear leather armor.

The small man glances back, bad timing unfortunately, and sees Mordik looking at them. The moon and stars provide some light. He stops and whips his sword out. "Hey - you there!" he says, beginning to walk back.[/sblock]

[smallcaps]What are ye doing prowling the halls at night - ye gave me a start!Thought ye might be burgling my unmentionables![/smallcaps]

He speaks loudly towards the men. He realizes the one man drew his sword and backs up a bit..

[smallcaps]
And now ye intend to fight!! Well, we'll see about that!
[/smallcaps]

Mordik keeps his distance from the men, but keeps them in sight - if need be he will run top speed towards his friends, yelling for help, he knows he's no match for 2 men when he doesnt have surprise.

"Wait a second before following me" says Rinaldo, and quickly draws his sap and puts his hat. His friend in the room see Rinaldo taking the shape of Abraham with a pan in his hand. He quickly follows Mordik steps.

OOC: If a fight hasn't started yet:
As he sees Mordik and the two other men, Rinaldo quickly start to tells angrily at Mordik. "What are you doing there. Spying on customers? And you sheet your sword, I don't want a fight in my establishment!" he continue to the two men. While talking, he make some subtle moves with his pan, to make sure that everyone see the innkeeper is ready to hit the first who doesn't follow his order.

Edit
Also, Rinaldo try to see if the two men seems familiar with Abraham.

[SBLOCK]OOC: Dunno what to roll, but here my modifiers:
Bluff +10
Diplomacy +16
Disguise +14 (Including hat's bonus and bluff synergy)
Intimidate +4

Hey, I didnt spy on anybody! ...
[/smallcaps]

Mordik remembers part of the conversation before and realizes Abraham may be part in all of this, he looks about to run around "Abraham", or perhaps a place to hide and dart somewhere else, all the while trying to pay attention to where all three gentlemen are.

About 30 seconds after Rinaldo leaves the room, Nurlan follows. When he gets to the scene of the commotion, he says, "Mordik! What is going on here?"

Mordik points towards the men.
Mordik puffs up and adds as elequently as possible:
[smallcaps]These men were skulking outside in the hallway when I left the room. Per my job description with you, I was verifying if they were a threat or not, and what their business was.
