Make This Mini Mighty! An experiment.

Do you like vampire hunter? Meh, this mini is out of proportion... looks like a giant compared to most DDM... =/

I've got some minis I love, but I'm ambivalent about what to do with them. I thought I'd try a little creative experiment. If it pans out, maybe it'll become a regular thing.

Hopefully, you see the mini below. It's labeled "vampire hunter", but labels matter not. I only care about finding something fun and effective to do with it, and to that end I'm soliciting your ideas. Note the crossbow in his left hand, the axe in his right hand, the steely determination on his mug. Can you ensconce this mini with such a combination of classes, feats, powers, and magic items that it will convey a sense of purpose, puissance, and pizazz to all at the table?

Here are the resources available to me to work with:
All PHB's
All "Power" books
Both Setting books
Both Adventurer's Vaults

IIRC, Klaus has a character based on this mini, or at least one that uncannily resembles it. And he has a piece of artwork to match: Claudio Pozas - In Her Majesty's Service.

I see this as a rogue that goes dagger/hand crossbow to have a good mix of melee and ranged powers. Perhaps Raven Herald as a PP to fit the "vampire hunter" theme?

That was indeed based on the vampire hunter mini. The interation depicted was:

Artful Dodger Rogue/Raven Herald
Weapons: +1 frost short sword and hand crossbow
Feats: Two-Fisted Shooter, Wintertouched, Lasting Frost
Other equipment: Cape of the Mountebank, Leather Armor

Actually, like I said in the OP, the "vampire hunter" label isn't of interest to me. Seems like it could serve perfectly well as a hunter of men or beats as well as undead. It doesn't cry "rogue" to me, but I know those 4e rogues have the whole brutal build that makes them a tough guy.

As to the size, it's tall, but hardly a giant.

Kerrick of the Black Brotherhood

Half-Elf Hybrid Seeker/Avenger...he's a vampire hunter, but not the usual kind.
<snip>

I just realized I made an error...I meant "When fighting undead, they typically open with their oath Channel Divinity and devastating elemental attacks at range, then close quickly to finish off their foes."

Another thought I had...

Rogue/Artificer.

He's still double-wielding his crossbows, but he's more of a MacGyver/Gageteer type.

Cool. I know just the mini to pick next time.

As for our D-wannabe, I'm trying to build him as a warlord/ranger hybrid. It's harder than it sounds because the ranger's ranged attacks are based on Dex while the warlord's are based on Str. I can pick Str-based ranger powers, but they won't work a crossbow. Tricky.

I have a few questions for you, Felon.

What level range will you actually be playing him?
What do you want to do more: damage or inflict conditions?
What will your party mates be playing?
Aside from the xbow and axe, have you already made any concrete mechanical choices?

It'll be level 11 or 16. No idea what anyone else is doing.

No many mechanical choices. He's human or half-orc. I intended to actually use the weapons equipped. DPS is good. Leadership is also good.
