Making the most of a vigilant

So, I may get the chance to play in a scarred lands game and I'm thinking of playing a vigilant. Anyone have any ideas on how to customize one for maximum effectiveness? I was thinking Barbarian1/ranger1/rogue3/Nentyar Hunter (FR)4/Windwalker1/Templar1/Vigilant 9.

This is a campaign where anything goes, and almost any D20 fantasy source is allowed. The other guys will be similarly min-maxing their characters, so I'd like to keep up. Nothing overly cheesy, but multiple prestige classes are fine.

Thanks for any help.

Wouldn't you be looking a significant XP penalties for that many classes?

Nah, he's human, so rogue is his favored class and the ranger/barbarian levels are within one of each other. Prestige classes never give an exp penalty.

The above was just an idea, anyway. I'm open to suggestions.
