Malhavoc Products again available as PDF!

Seems that Monte is really listening to us 8D

Malhavoc non-DRM PDF's are again available from the White-Wolf site in adition to drivethroughrpg.com.

I would be happier if it would be available again on RPGNow, but this is much more than I hoped

I hope other Companies from drivethroughrpg.com will also do something like that...

Time to reward Monte with a little carrot.

He'd get a bigger carrot if I could go to RPGNow, though. I've gotten boned every time I've tried to buy through White Wolf's site, which is pretty poor.

This kind of removes any pretense that Drive-Thru and White Wolf were seperate entities in anything other than a purely paperwork sense.

Monte Cook has just announced a change in the e-book policy for Malhavoc. PDFs are now available in older (pre 6.0) format from Swords and Sorcery, and in the newer DRM format from DriveThru RPG.

As someone who's computer can't handle Acrobat 6, this is good news for me.

One clarification, the books PDFs are availible from the White-Wolf online store, not RPGnow. They are regular PDFs though.

Haven't tried the WW shop, but maybe I will someday.

It's kind of sad that Malhavoc's not returning to RPGNow.com, though. But if that's Monte's choice, so be it.

Hear, hear! I see no mention of RPGNow.com, so I am guessing that the traditional PDF version is available through www.swordsorcery.com instead of RPGNow.com. Anyways, I agree that this is a victory for the average consumer, and I will personally continue to purchase the normal PDFs from Malhavoc thru swordsorcery.com - at least those PDFs that I don't review.

One small oddity is that the e-book format for Malhavoc products will continue to be sold at DriveThru. Considering the inferiority of that format to the consumer, that seems, strange.

I might actually buy the short story collection in ebook format though. I wanted to test that audio reading feature on that product.

Looks like I got boned again at WW too. Yet another timeout waiting for the order to process, leaving me with no receipt, and no download link. Now I get to wait till tomorrow to see if they charged my card or not, and then try to fix it if they did.

How so? Have you had problems buying PDFs there before? I've never bought anything from WW's webstore, but I am eagerly anticipating the 3.5 update to Malhavoc's psionics PDFs.
