Malhavoc Products again available as PDF! (Merged w/ "consumer victory!")

While I'll agree that WW's site can be rather slow, I haven't personally had any problem buying any pdf's from them. Heck, I'm on crappy dial-up service even! Not sure what the problem is then. It could be that you're simply logging on at a time when they are seeing a lot of traffic.

Adios,
Kane

I'm more curious how the sales of the two different formats will compair after a few months. I wonder if Monte will be kind enough to say which has been the better seller.

Note that, as a result of this change, the FULL Arcana Unearthed Book is now available as a PDF.

Monte, you are my leader, my Ravi Shenkar, and my ninja.

I'm not registered with White Wolf's site (been using RPGNow and RPGShop exclusively), but that shall change. Much as I dislike spreading myself over too many sites, this and Children of the Rune are well worth it.

EDIT - NOT ONLY THAT! If you were one of the people who bought any of the previous "Partial" PDF"s (Way of the Sword, Way of the Staff, etc.) then you get the WHOLE BOOK for $5.00. I didn't go that route, but $14.00 is still way too good of a deal for a PDF of that product.

Thanks a lot Monte!

I didn't chime in on the DRM threads when they were raging. But I am now!

Title says it all. I AM pleased.

While I am glad that this is happening, the numbers won't tell the true story of which is more popular. DriveThru will be more public and will get more publicity. Those who want real PDFs will have to go searching for them, so their sales (I think) will end up smaller. All the hard-core geeks with real computer knowledge will have PDFs, whilst those with less computer savvy (and/or less interest in having computer savvy) will have the DRMs.

Probably not publicly, but I'll bet he'll let DTRPG know (and fellow publishers who use DTRPG). It will certainly validate one form over the other I would think--at least for the .pdf publisher. The print publishers who only sell .pdfs with DRM will probably not be as influenced.

I just sent Monte my "thank-you" carrot by picking up some PDF stuff I didn't already have.

Thanks, Monte! :)
