Marked by Destiny, Marked by Tragedy (Erekose13 Judging)

ooc: Sorry Stonegod! You just had the misfortune of posting at the wrong time so that by the time I'd finished replying to Rystil, taking a break then returning you were no longer on the bottom of the page.

"Hmm? So you know about the visions? Well if you must know yes I'm looking for a compartment I noticed from the vision... and if I'm right it should be somewhere around here. This room is smaller than it should be, like a few feet have been shaved off the wall here, now if I could just find the entrance..."[/sblock]

ooc: Incidentily, I just realised I've been inadvertantly houseruling your diplomacy/intimidate rules using Richard Burlew's alternative rules. Been using em for so long I forgot the official rules weren't like that. since I forgot to declare so at the begining I'll use official rules from now on. In other words any diplomacy or intimidate rolls you make from now on will likely be considerably more successful than they have been until now. Anyway, now I need sleep. *falls over*

[SBLOCK=Robillan]"Right then, so let's see--that's a little better. That's about 300 each. I will ask the others if this is acceptable to them. You get better here, and whatever you do, keep a low profile--we wouldn't want those malicious and pervasive agents of mediocrity to come after you, my friend!"

*Alysina will head to the lab and grab the protection formula from the safe, using the combination of 1-2-3-4-5-6.*

*Then she will head to speak with The Twelve...or rather, renowned arcane scholar Sindariel Telurien will speak with The Twelve.*[/SBLOCK]

(OOC: Yeah, Rich Burlew's (actual Amber's) rules are extraordinarily terrible, though they are terrible in the opposite direction that the normal Diplomacy/Intimidate is problematic but less terrible)

During the whole exchange, Brelach stays silent - he speaks Draconic, but is doing his best to pretend otherwise.

"What is the little runt saying? Damned dogspeak, is what it is. Let's just feed him to a snake. And then feed the snake to an even bigger snake. Hell, we could feed him to the master, but that thing looks so mangy, I think we'd just give him a stomach ache.

OOC: Technicaly, any game in LEB you should be using official rules regardless. But no need to retcon previous actions.

[sblock=Marshal]Having found nothing on the table*, the warforged shakes his head. He needed for the Marshall to tell him more. "The contents of the vision were not confided in me. only its existence. What did it portray, Sir Marshall?" Weapon keeps an eye on the Marshall, to see what, if anything, he finds.

* I assume since nothing was noted about Weapon's search check.[/sblock]

[sblock=weapon]Moving past the table Weapon finds little of interest save broken machinery and splinters of dragonshard. A few look like they might be big enough to be worth a few coins, but by and large anything of value seems broken beyond repair.

"In the vision I saw myself- well, Robillan I assume, take something out of a safe. Since I don't see anything like that around here I'm guessing it is hidden. Didn't your master tell you the location of any vaults?" He stops suddenly, his fingers clearly brushing over something. "Ah, found it." He pulls at what appears to be an otherwise unremarkable section of the wall and it moves to the side, sliding uneasily to the left as if it were a cupboard door. Behind it appears to be a vault of some description, wth the seal of house Kundurak stamped below some kind of intricate combination lock.

ooc: Completely missed your search check. Sorry, that's what I get for staying up so late. Not that there was much to find other than a few shards and the vault. [/sblock]

[sblock=Alysina] "Um, yes yes, better I keep a low profile. I do have a few friends remaining that I could... I tell you what, if and when you need to contact me just ask at the Sivis enclave. I'm not exactly welcome there but they make it their business to keep track of me, damnable agents of mediocrity that they are! Still this time we can turn their surveillance against them! Good luck Alysina, I'm entrusting the fate of the city, nay, of my career unto you!" And with that the crazy little gnome bids you fairwell.

Robillan’s lab is still burning, although the flames have decreased significantly, enough the building is more black than orange. Most of the workers have dispersed by now, with a few remaining to make sure the blaze doesn’t spread any further. Weapon is nowhere to be seen, although in his place is a squad of five watchmen guarding the perimeter of the building. [/sblock]

[SBLOCK=Alysina]EDIT: "Yes! Damn those agents of medicority! They are always stifling our most talented minds, I say! By the way, could you quickly write me out something stating that I am your loyal agent in this respect and press your Dragonmark into some wax to seal it officially or whatever you do? I bet that'll help a whole bunch!"

*If the flames have died down to the point where it is safe to enter (if not, ignore this and she'll go to The Twelve first and here second), Alysina will make sure her form is primed to the maximum attractiveness (nothing like a pretty girl to turn male guards to putty) and walk right past the guards to get into the non-dangerous part of building as if it is the most natural thing in the world. If they try to stop her, she can get by pretty well with the truth, something to the effect of:*

"Oh, hi there. Thank you for your vigilance, my friend. I'm here on behalf of Robillan d'Sivis, the owner of this lab. Your aid in this whole incident has been greatly appreciated."

(OOC: With Diplomacy +13, that shouldn't be too hard, hopefully)[/SBLOCK]
