Round 4 Begins
Weapon hurls a rock at the Warlock.

[sblock=Rules for Throwing Rocks]As I'm not aware of any more specific rules, I will treat the rock as an improvised thrown hammer. Therefore, it will have an attack penalty of -4, a range increment of 20', and base damage of 1d4. So mote it be. There, with "so mote it be" the DM's wild *** guess becomes sacred. :)[/sblock]

Rock (1d20+1=19, 1d4+4=8)Action Point (1d6=5)

The warlock, accurately believing that Weapon has almost no chance to hit her with a stray rock, is utterly unprepared for the lucky shot, which strikes her directly in the head. She topples into the darkness, and a loud *crack* of breaking bone can be heard when she slams into the cave floor.

With the immediate threat dispatched, the entire party breaks free of the memory. You all dispassionately witness the armies of house Deneith anihilate the remnants of the abberant forces. The memory ends as a Deneith cleric consecrates the area and tells his troops to get some rest. Strangely, the consecration seems to have some effect on the cavern, and this area feels somehow safe, at least for the moment.

*** End of Combat ***

First Post
"Wow, that was pretty cool weapon. I guess she was between a rock and a hard place! Anyways, it seems somehow safe to rest here if we must, but how much is everyone actually injured from all the illusions and such? What resources are we missing? If few, we can likely proceed."

*Alys muses as she inspects the body of the warlock for distinguishing marks, symbols, and treasure. If the other woman is alive, she adds:*

"Also, do we want to question her?"

On the body of the deceased Warlock you find a high quality chain shirt, a darkweave cloak, a tanglefoot bag, and two potion bottles. Unfortunately, one of the potions broke in her fall.

[sblock=Upon Identification]The chain shirt is masterwork, and the remaining potion is of Cure Light Wounds.[/sblock]

Weapon nods at the complement, ignoring the pun. He grabs his flail again, looking around at the darkness for entrances and exits, keeping vigilant. "My scrapes are minor, though repair would not be amiss. How hindered are the rest?"

While he waits for the others to report, Weapon dusts of his jacket, finding a new hole from one of the warlock's bolts. He sighs with a rattling exhalation, then turns to Alys. "What more did the strange gnome have to say? Is this woman the source, or what more do we have look towards?"

OOC: stonegod lost train of adventure a bit. Been a while. :) Plus, he does not have all the details.

Weapon examines the woman, not particularly caring about modesty---it is nothing more than meat now, awaiting its eventual decay. "Perhaps she is marked?"
