"Yep, we already knew that before we checked or else she'd be oozing and misshapen like that dude we met upstairs. But we're looking for marks on the wall. Cool, huh?"

It does seem like there are some marks on the wall here -- possibly the warlock had been investigating them. You would probably need to examine them closely to exclude the possibility that these are the marks you are looking for.

"Well, that was quite trippy," the elf says as he finally is able to convince himself that he REALLY isn't part of an ancient battle.

Looking around he spots the broken frame of the woman lying on the ground.

"The perils of rising to great heights...."

He looks over the woman, looking at the aberrant mark on her body, then taking a crass look everywhere else on her broken body.

"Hey, I'm just checkin' for more marks over here," he stammers as the others look on.

"Too bad, I'd like to have asked her out on a date if she wasn't so broken up."
He says under his breath to himself.

If you had an extended amount of time to study them and a research library, the marks would probably be a mystery worthy of a true scholar. For now, though, they remain an hopeless enigma. Perhaps further into the cave....
