Hey I just wanted to say thanks you guys for all the suggestions I tried to rep you guys as much as I could. Its such a blessing to pass on gaming as another thing we can do together especially in the winter months here in Indiana.

So anyway I think there will be someone commiting arson around the city tonight. Rage Son of Thor must put on his detective hat, and can he stop them before the city is in Flames and when he mettles too much and that cute girl that he talks to in between class is targeting can he control the Thunder inside himself. The fire session went ok although we had to quit a bit early last night hopefully we can pick up again tonight.


A couple idea fishing questions though.

1.) Names for the all supers "high school"
2.) What can I put into encounters to encourage him to use various power stunts with his abilities i.e like striking the ground with his hammer and the shock wave taking everyone standing to lose their footing, or throwing the hammer to take someones legs out.

The best way to get someone thinking about power stunts is to tell them about it as a possibility, with examples. I like Iceman and Invisible Girl for this.

The next best way is to have NPCs do stunts and hope it sparks your player's imaginations.

As for supers names, tell us your NPCs abilities, and we can help you out.

Well actually I mean the name of the school itself. Like Xaviers School for Gifted Youngsters.

But since you suggested it I have determined that the supers school has a curriculum that groups kids together. That is their "Team" for the year at the end of the term they can either disband or re-up the team. Each team has been assigned a "mentor" Rage's mentor will be a Psi-Chick much in the vein of Jean Grey/Marvel Girl(no phoinex powers). I was thinking of "Ms(orMiss). Miracle" but I haven't really set it in stone yet.

Yeah thats kind of what Im leaning towards. Like in Harry Potter. The Schools have their own worlds essentially and no one knows really whats going on. So I figure there would be a few in the US. Rages Dad being an original Avenger and being a well notarized BA and hero he would be a "legacy" member and such.

So I got called off of work today so I was able to see the kids off to school. I have been looking for some Heroclix to mod and paint characters from "Rage The Son of Thor!". Well he sees and asks what Im doing so I tell him and he says he has some friends at school that wanna play to(I am not sure I am prepared for a table full of 5th graders, but really what changes from 9to the 50's and 60's. I have still have 30 somethings with there standard reply
Player1: "Who is it again?"
MeDM: "It's the barkeep that hired you for....."
Player1: "Nevermind I hit him with my sword."
Player2: "Yeah! And then I cast lightning bolt on him!"
MeDM: "Uhhhhh....well"

Anyway so I was thinking of a natural transition from where we are now that Rage's xmas break in school he would transfer to the supers school/academy thingy.

The premise will be that whatever force has held the icon(i.e. Cap A, Spidey, Iron Man, the Fantastic Four, and X-Men ect ect) characters from aging has started to catch up. New hero's must take up the mantle some of these will be the sons and daughters of Hero's(and villains and not necessarily "mini-me" replica's either" some will be new entirely.

Do you guys have any ideas for some of these Son and Daughters of Marvel's legendary hero's and villains?

Again, it depends on the PC in question. Just because you're Spider-Man's son, it doesn't necessarily follow you'll get his powers.
