The thing with Coulson is exactly what makes it so egregious though. Not only did they fridge someone, but it is a rehash of something that already happened!
Sure, it's already happened in practically every superhero story ever. You would think people would have stopped being surprised by now.

I think The Marvels was originally supposed to come out next month, but it got pushed back to November.

in the first episode of Secret Invasion, Maria Hill refers to Fury's lack of contact for "the past few years." This implies to me we are at least two or three years after Avengers: Endgame, so 2025 or (more likely) 2026.

It also has to be post-WandaVision because Fury was still in space in the final scene where Monica was contacted.

Also, in another bit of news that clarifies things, Cobie Smulders is supposed to be in The Marvels, so if that was really Maria Hill dying and not a Skrull, Secret Invasion has to come after The Marvels.

I do not know whether The Marvels would also clarify why Captain Marvel may not be involved in Secret Invasion. This should be as much her battle as Fury's, and in the MCU I do not think any Skrull could fake her sheer power.

As long as they don't bring in the Super Skrull, that is. They might save that for an FF movie, if it happens at all.

Well, episode 2 was quite interesting and revealing of what has been going on. 1 million Skrulls? And showing at least some of the bad ones who have already taken control of positions of power.

Episode two is far better than episode 1 and does give the feel of a British-style spy thriller. It was great to spend time with Gravik and get a better feel of whats going on.
interesting the Daltons work and especially the sources they used
