Marvel's 2004 Movie Schedule

I don't know if they died in the first one but they didn't appear in the second one. Ray Park is doing Iron Fist.

Well, Sabertooth took a very long fall and Toad got blasted by lightening. I figure they would show that the characters lived like they did Mystic if they hadd lived.

Well that doesn't mean much in the world of X-Men. Sabretooth took a full on lunge of all six of Wolverine's claws and it only made him angry. I'm sure he survived the fall, Toad as well.

Mystique was shown to survive because they needed a segue into that last shot with the Senator on TV.

I always thought that both survived and just didn't make it into this movie. They weren't needed. Magneto and Mystique can do plenty of damage on their own. :)

As for the other Marvel 2004 flicks: The one I hope to see the most (besides Spidey 2) is Fantastic Four. Now, I haven't read the books but I do know their story is different enough from the current Marvel movies to stand out. That appeals to me. I really love the idea of a movie comic-book universe. It sets things up for believable crossovers and a basic retelling of some great stories that many folks who have never read comics can enjoy.

Fantastic Four is on hold currently.
An executive put the script on hold and they are rewriting it. I believe this is the third time they have done this with this movie.
They were scheduled to begin shooting in three weeks.

Punisher looks interesting but the guy playing him looks to small to me and he is blond also.

Don't forget Electra is going to be in her own movie and it is shooting in a few weeks. (Script is done)

Blade three will be interesting.

What were the rumors of Ghost Rider? Wasn't Nick Cage going to be in that one? I had heard he was up for Superman and decided to turn that dopwn to play Ghost Rider.

Really, aren't they close to signing Clooney to play Mr. Fantastic? I thought I read that this morning...

I did forget about Elektra. Jennifer Garner is great, just give her a solid script and she'll rock it. I have yet to see Blade 2, but I do hope they make a Blade 3 as the first one wasn't bad and I've heard great things about 2. :)

If the progression of goriness continues from Blade 2 to Blade 3, Blade 3 will, in all likelyhood, consist of two hours of an entirely red screen and a soundtrack of nothing but bullets, screaming, and loud techno/industrial music.

I'm there, dude. :D

They are re-writing the script again but Marvel posted that release date after the news of Mark Frost writting a new script. They still want a 2004 release for Fantastic Four so I figure it will get pushed pretty quick from here, They are casting and Clooney is pretty close to a lock for the movie, they will probably start preproduction before the script is finished.

I posted the Nick Cage make up test for Ghost Rider photo in the Punisher thread, be warned it's pretty bad.

First rule of comic-book casualty: If you don't see a body, he ain't dead.
Even if there *is* a body, it's likely that he survived somehow.

Oh, and that *so* applies to X2 as well.
