Well, you can make a pretty good case that the Aes Sedai are in charge of the world in d20 Wheel of Time, and a pretty good case that they're good guys (or no worse than Lawful Neutral) for the most part.

Good guys? at best lawful neutral IMO. There not the cackling evil destroy the planet like the main bad guys but they don't seem good to me. But then again the male/female dynamic of those books is why I can't read them anymore.
