MD-DC-VA Gaming Day Comments...How did you like it?

Hey guys, don't worry. The pictures will be up soon enough. I just wanted to say I had a great time meeting everyone. Old One, your game was awesome. I don't know amongst the players who rolled more 1's, but I think you definitely took the cake.

I agree, the noise was a bit distracting at times. We'll see what we can do about that for next time. :)

Thanks

I want to take the time to thank Old One and DRM for taking the bull by the horns and organizing this event. Also to all those that provided their time and effort into making signs, badges, etc.

Many thanks to all the players, Bobbert, FritoKAL, Ferretmaster303, Chuthulhu's Librarian, Stahler 77, Skada Marie, and BobotheHobo, in both the morning and afternoon games. I had great fun and hope you guys did too. Now I need some time to recuperate and get my voice back. LOL

And I second the call for Xath to post the pics.

'twas a great deal of fun. A good friend of mine (and fellow roleplayer) is on leave from Iraq, and he was extremely grateful to have a con where he can come join a game and enjoy himself.

Psion's T20 Traveller game rocked the house! Many great memories there. Hopefully, next year, I can contribute a game of my own in some fashion. Thanks, Psion, and all the other guys who put TerpCon together. Great job!

I had an awesome time! Psion's T20 game was excellent. I had a great time RPing with you Ramien and everyone else at Psion's game. Heck, Psion got my wife to enjoy a sci-fi game, which is a feat in and of itself.

I would definitely want to do another GameDay next year. The noise was a bit troublesome, but nothing out of the ordinary for gaming for my home group. Don't know if I'd run a game next year, I love playing in other people's games and seeing their GMing styles and learning from them. Maybe the year after that though. I certainly hope this thing keeps going. The University of Maryland seemed like and great location and the Colony Ballroom was a great room to be in.

Thanks to everyone who made the Game Day so enjoyable!

I have to say that was the best con I have ever been to. Of course it's the first con I've ever been to but the fact that it was accessible and I didn't feel like I would be stepping onto another plane of existence by hopping down to college park and gaming with a bunch of people really made it appealing. I had a great time in MarauderX's game and my friend (who has yet to procure his ENWorld handle *bump*) thought the gaming experience was among his happiest yet.

Having never been to a con before, I was given the opportunity to see other DM's practices and tonight, I brought several of them to bear on my party. The game play was more enjoyable for everyone and it seemed like spent more time on role playing than on fighting. Comments for next time: variety in game systems is nice, but if one kind of game fills up real fast, you might want to make sure another game of that type accepts the people who want to get in on it.

Btw, that 3D map looked really cool and I think we all stopped by to gander at it at some point or another...I'm going to invest in a set myself for the group.
