Meeting EN Worlders in real life

Unfortunately do to a heavy work load I missed the Chicago game day. I have gone to Gamers Plus a few times previous though and look forward to meeting fellow ENnies' yet. And since I live near Chicago I know that a few in my gaming group will be trucking it up to Gen Con next year. I liked it in Milwaukee so much more so than in Indiana (everyone knows Chicagoans dislike everything about Indiana!). It is like Chicago is tettering on the edge of the toilet bowl that is Indiana (he he). :)

The above statement does not reflect the attitude or opionion of all Chicagoian posters on the EN boards, I mean outside of Gary there is no real problem with IN. Well getting there is a major pain in the rump, but you have to do it to get to MI.

A hunting we shall go, a hunting we shall go, hi ho the merry go, A hunting we will go!

Count so far: 0 :(

I'm one of those odd-ball types that likes to build-up a virtual impression of a person, then get the chance to go 'n meet them in person and compare. Pitty I seem to scare everyone away when I bring up the notion of a face-to-face :p

I'm also one of those that keep planning on making it to a GenCon, yet always finding life saying "Oh, plans is it, I can fix those!" One of these years though, mabye...

Morrus and Eric, as well as too many other names to even have a hope of remembering, are what makes this a true on-line community and so much fun to visit.

FYI: Minnesota has finally gotten it's first I-HOP! And it's not even very far away from me, fate I tell yah! Now if they'd just get done with all that bloody training and open the blasted doors I'd finally have somewhere to blow all my available cash (availability dependant on how hungry I am for breakfast at that particular time ;) ) Maybe I can even use it to lure some of my fellow Twin Citizans (ie: Minneapolis/St.Paul) over there for a real-life meeting.

Greetings!

Indeed, meeting people in person is so cool! I have met mmadsen, Dragonblade in person, and become great friends with them. Quickbeam, King Stannis, Leopold, Limper, Teflon Billy, Ulrick, I am all friends with, and have E-mailed extensively with or talked on the phone. It's great!

Good ale, fine cigars all around my friends! Someday soon, hopefully, we will all be able to get together in person!

Semper Fidelis,

SHARK

I game with Vymair, but other than that, nope. I'm hoping to meet some of you at Gen Con SoCal next year!

I'm thinking your chances of managing that are pretty slim.... ;)

I've met a bunch of ENworlders at GenCon this last year. It was a good time. I've also met (contact) out here in CA. It is nice to be able to put a face and voice to a user name.

There really should be a Bay Area EN World Game day. There are quite a few of us lurking around this end of the country. We shouldn't let those people from Chicago and Boston have all the fun.

I've had nothing but good experiences meeting the ENish folk.

The magic that is the Chicago Gameday and Mark's great tours of the city have given me the honor of meeting such folks as Kevin, Mark, Eric, Russel, Al, William, Matt (a few of you), Pat, Art, Ben, Josh, and Kent, just to name the few whose real names I've learned.

I have no complaints.
