Melee Ranger At-Wills?

What archery ranger is going to want any melee strike?

This thread is about an extra melee-capable strike for melee rangers, so that is what is provided. It's designed the way it is so that beast-masters can use it if they like while two-weapon melee rangers get the most benefit.

Ah, okay, but the last several posts had been about why Careful Attack was a crappy choice, so when you just posted a power stat-block without any context, I thought you were proposing a general replacement for Careful Attack. As a new at-will for melee rangers, it seems fine.

Yeah, given the flood of +x to hit/target other defense/do more damage/all of the above ideas people were posting, thought'd be nice to post an idea that made a ranger have -more- options other than 'hit moar'

I actually like this power too. Dissuading Strike and Kordeth's suggestion will both make their way into my game. Thanks!

1) Whether you say "your off-hand weapon does not have the off-hand property" or "you have the Two Blade fighting style," it's exactly the same thing mechanically, because only with Two-Blade Fighting Style can you use non-off hand weapons in your off-hand. The latter is just cleaner language.
There is an important difference actually. There is a multiclass Ranger feat in Martial Power which allows using a non-offhand weapon in your offhand without granting the Two-Blade Fighting Style.
