Menace of the Icy Spire (Ozymandias79 judging)

Shorrin shrugged, "The yellin mostly. Learned when I was little to not be in the place people expect ya." He paused for a moment, "As far as how... well I'd prefer not to say. Takes all the mystery out of it.

If ya don't mind... can you make Shorrin's tracks rather easy to see to anyone who actually looks? [/sblock]

Janus looks back and forth between the bantering parties,

"What could possibly lure a man into a ladies tent, at night, in the cold....ohhhh."

He blushes furiously, drops his head and returns to the heavy tome he is reading. He finishes in due time then quickly packs his tent and gathers his belongings making sure the are secured tightly to the sled.

"Ready when you are, how far to the tower do you think?"

Balth grins, still whistling and old bawdy tune, as he finishes tying up the sled. The only items still remaining unpacked are the things they had gathered off the goblins.

Balth says "If noone minds, as vile as it looks, I'd like to hang onto this other potion for now. And seeing as there is about fifty gold here, I'll take ten and leave the rest for you all. Janus, since you keep your nose in a book so much..."

He tosses the Captain's Journal over to Janus. "Maybe give that a once-over. It could have a clue in it, or something we have missed?"

He looks at the tower, looming in the distance. "We should move soon."

Larinza takes up her share of 10gp and looks toward the tower,

"I agree, we should be moving soon"

You stow your gear on the sleds, and set out again, trudging through the snow. The sky today is bright and clear, the air crisp, and the snow sparkles like crushed glass. Occasionally you see birds circling at a distance, but otherwise there is no sign of life.

After about an hour, Balth crosses over a low hill and finds a road, straight and wide, leading back towards the woods and ahead directly towards the gleaming tower on the horizon. The snow on it lies undisturbed but shallower than the surrounding plains, suggesting that it is usually kept clear, but right now the only snow on it is from last night's blizzard.

Balth pushes forward down the road, but taking care to scan the horizons and any areas that might offer concealment to those who would attack him, or for themselves should they need it. He treads through the snow with his bow in hand, but the gloves on to protect his fingers.

Balth utters a silent prayer to Avandra as he searches down the road. Perhaps she will show him the way to fix this forsaken cold.

He looks for a sign from god.
