Mighty Bows greater than +4

Heh. Right on. So is did you end up converting that guy? What's your Archer made up of in 3E?

I never converted my 13th level fighter. Haven't found a game to play him in...and he's a little too beefy. I doubt another DM would let me play him.

As for my Archer now, he's an elven 2 fighter/8 Transmuter. He's got an item that lets him cast GMW 3 levels higher and some other neat tricks like empowered Cat's Grace to hit a 26 Dex. 2 more levels of fighter and he'll probably go Sacred Exorcist to deal with those pesky Outsiders. Cleric BAB, d8 and full spellcasting, oh yeah.

He's a pretty nasty archer, especially when he starts his flying/imp invis thing, with an AC close to 40. Being able to consistently deal good damage along with his versatile spell casting makes him really effective. He can't deal out 200 damage a round yet, but he's working on his Oathbow.

However, I'm tempted to stop the spellcasting at 9th and start going into an archer PrC like the DS and maybe some OoBI.

Neither you nor Xarlen liked how the DM described the dragon collapsing into the ice, but what you don't seem to be taking into consideration is the fact that the dragon was going to die the next round. Period.

Using that analogy, I guess most of the opposition should die rather soon too, becuase they're just gunna die in the next few rounds.

;)

If you've been reduced to a handful of hit points, are out of melee range, have no ranged attacks, and my guy has got his bow, yeah, you better hope the DM gives you a merciful death.

Merciful? Dignity? If breaking your neck when you fall a few feet because your lard-butt of a rider is too heavy is Dignified, then I have to ask you what your opinon of Unmerciful is.

I guess the dragon slipping on a dead halfling and cracking it's skull, or choking on a shield it accidently ate while snatching the fighter is dignified too.

:)

Oh, you think so, do you? Well my character is immune to melee range, bows, and even hit points! :p

Fair enough. Given the choice between a cool cinematic death now and a lame gay death later, you'll always choose lame and gay. I'd make the observation that 6 seconds is 6 seconds, 30 is 30, but cool doesn't have an expiration date. To each their own.

My deaths are very heterosexual! They're straight! So straight they hurt!

Straight.
