Min/Max Character

Akhkharu

First Post
I may be starting a new character tomorrow, if we play, and would like some assistance with min/maxing this character.
Any race and core class from the PhB with a limit of 7 levels. PrC from any Dungeons & Dragon's book. Oh, and can't be evil.
Stats are:
18 17 17 16 14 12

Party consists of so far:
Barbarian3/Fighter5
Sorcerer 8
Rogue 5/Ranger 1/Fang of Lolth1
Cleric 8

Have fun!

Any idea of what class, class combination, or role your character would fill?

With those stats, you'd make a great farmer: 18 in Wisdom, 17 in Int (for skill points), etc. If the DM allows custom 2/2 feats (like Alertness) and Skill Focus +3, you could get Profession (farmer) up to +23. Alternatively, you could take 3 levels of wizard and CWI to make an amulet of Profession (farmer) +27 for only 18,225 gp and 1,458 gp. With 10 ranks and a +2 from the (normal) Skill Focus, that's +43...

The party doesn't have much in the way of fighters, only the barbarian/fighter really, cleric is no good in combat, has never been able to hit really so I was going to try either a straight druid or monk then thought about barbarian and get into the bear warrior from OA.

Insert plus for stat block generator, http://mwtools.thyle.net/sb_gen.html here. As usual, I'm not formatting it for the boards...

The best trick for munching is to take a few first levels in front-loaded classes and supplement the best with arcane/divine/psionic, which dominate at mid-high levels. Try to complement their abilities.

e.g.
Paladin1/TelepathX
Telepath is IMO the best psionic subclass, and the paladin level allows you heavy armour (no psionic restriction) and Cha bonus to saves.

Monk1/WizardorSorcererX
Purely for evasion, save buffing and wisdom bonus when not armoured.

ETC.

Technically speaking, Fangs of Lolth can be CN or N. I would really like to see just what this "non-evil" campaign is like, though.
