is it kosher to take material from the SRD and put it into my conversion?

i'm not sure but i think there is too much pork in the product.

no rabbi in his right mind is gonna bless that...

I'll probably be converting these in a couple of months, along with the Illithiad. I'm also going to incorporate Paradigm Concept's "Unveiled Masters: The Essential Guide to Mind Flayers" which has a lot of material "borrowed" from 2E products. I'll be posting in the Conversions board, when I'm done.

Glad you liked Unveiled Masters, Thorian.

As a matter of interest, I can flat-out state that at least one of the authors had never read any 2e products (well, except for the original Dark Sun boxed set).

In fact, I'm only finally getting a copy of the Illithiad at GenCon this year. (I wrote the prestige classes, the spells and powers and the "what if" section)

Yes.

They are:

A Darkness Gathering
Masters of Eternal Night
Dawn of the Overmind

I would really like to see these converted to 3e or 3.5, if possible...

I started converting these with an eye to publishing them on the Conversion board. Then glancing over the requisites demanded in order to be published there, I gave up all hope.

It is completely pointless, an exercise in futility. Why?

Because you are restricted to copying creature-for-creature, level for level maniacally. Which means the EL's are all over the place, because the monsters have changed. And you are strictly forbidden from trying to provide any reasonable replacement, because then it isn't a conversion. Utterly, utterly pointless.

the proper way to send messages like this is through PM's, but yours appear to be off...

i'm not a picky kind of person, but as a moderator i should warn you that having "Holy S---!" in your signature picture might get you into trouble. i'd suggest that you find a way to edit out the S-word, or rewrite it as S**T or something before someone who isn't as friendly and nice as me picks up on that. :) if you need help with that, just ask...

i personally don't care, but some people might complain to upper management... :)
