Miniatures for D&D

Wraithdrit

First Post
So I've started this new campaign. Going to be running CotSQ. Running the PCs through a prologue of sorts, and things are going well. But I want to start collecting and using more miniatures in the game. Can anyone recommend a good line that I can find D&D style minis? I know of Reaper's Dark Heaven, are there others that are good? I know the Chainmail minis would have been good, but its a little late for that. =)

look for Ral Partha, Grenadier, Heritage, Superior, Citadel, T$R, and Wizzards & Warriors on ebay or other auction sites.

Reaper's minis are the best in quality and price (in my opinion).

They have a new line called Warlord which are a little bigger and very dramatic.

I just picked up their townsfolk packs. I now have minis of a bartender, 2 wenches, a blacksmith, madame and strumpets, and some random villagers. Great stuff.

Personaly, I like Fenryll and Confrontation minis, but they tend to be a tad more expensive.

www.fantization.com for the confrontation
and
www.dragglestown.com for the Fenryll.

Some people like Celtos minis... I'm sorta in the middle on them. There are a small handfull that I really like... the rest I really don't like.

Celtos can be got at Fantization too.

eBay

eBay usually has a bunch of individual pieces and random lots being auctioned off, and you can usually find something that you want for a good price. I manage to get away with paying less that $1 per figure when I get lucky. Only downside is many are used and sometimes broken, but then again some are beautifully painted.

Are these on thier website. I couldn't find them. Maybe I just looked in the wrong places.

If you want low cost mini's that do the job, check out dragon scale counters. They are not mini's that you have to paint, but they do the job.
