Minorities & D&D/RPGs

I suppose I never thought about this. I'm a minority, but most of the people I've played with have been white. One african-american, a couple asians.

I made it up. The original word is not allowed at ENWorld. A word that's sort of like the acronym for "Naturally Intelligent Gents Generating Excellent Reviews", but not quite. The coinage was inspired by a local morning show use of "flugelhorn" in place of the proper name for one's Wee Willy Winky.

Great. After I go asking a black dude at work and him saying that he'd never heard of the word.....

And I prefer that word you're referring to to use the Webster's Dictionary definition of "stupid, ignorant person" than what it was used for.

1White girl from Japan
Is she Japanese?

There are some Japanese people who are entirely white but very few. I have a Japanese friend who's half white but that's not nearly as rare as those who are 100% caucasian.

One of the girls in my group is african american another one is Chinese. I myself am Japanese, Irish, English, and Lakatoa ( I think is some Scottish in there as well ). All of us are from the US with the exception of our DM who's from the UK.

Another black gamer here. I've introduced a fair number of other black people to gaming (not recently though) but it still is an overwhelmingly white male hobby. Most of my groups have had at least one or two black people in them, but then again I live in NY...

We just had a black guy show up at the Wednesday meeting of the Sci-Fi club at UNCG. And he's into gaming although I don't recall the system he plays; it's not one I'm familiar with (that's alot of them!).
